What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Roberta's is celebrated for its exceptional Neapolitan-style pizzas, with the 'Bee Sting' being a standout. Diners rave about the creative and delicious salads, and the unique, buzzing atmosphere of the Bushwick location. While the food garners high praise, some guests note that service can be slow during busy periods, and a few find the prices a bit high for the overall experience.
"Funky spot with an amazing vibe and seriously good pizza!
The Bee Sting was hands down my favorite – spicy, sweet, perfectly balanced. We also tried the Lil Stinky, and it was packed with flavor.
Surprisingly, the salad blew me away. I’m not even a salad person, but this one was super flavorful and creative – a total standout.
The place has that refined grit – it doesn’t look fancy, but everything’s done with care and intention. That contrast between raw and elevated? It just works.
Definitely coming back!!!"

"Such a cool vibe, it's a bar with amazing pizza. I got the bee sting based on all the reviews and it doesn't disappoint. The dough is so light, there is a spicy to it but all the flavors compliment each other so well."
Benito Camesta
"Buzzy/noisey atmosphere at the entrance, good host and reception with drinks at the bar before table was ready. Waiters not really alert, they messed up with my order, still smiley at least.
The pizza is very good/authentic Italian, average price 20 dollars each, but the service is very slow(and I mean it). Can’t say I loved the dessert as I left most of the pancake. Will still be definitely back as the it’s probably best pizza in Brooklyn."

Best Pizza Places in Brooklyn: Famous & Under-The-Radar Pizzerias
The eatery that gets mentioned more than any other when New Yorkers discuss the city’s best pizza, Roberta’s is chef Carlo Mirarchi’s dually dive-y yet hip ode to wood-fired Neapolitan pizzas, seasonal veggies, and natural wines. This Brooklyn institution has gone on to launch additional locations around the country and offer frozen pizza to enjoy at home, but the original Bushwick operations continues to remain as its home base. Drop in for perfectly chewy, leopard-spotted pies with classic-ish toppings, like the lauded Bee Sting with tomatoes, soppressata, mozzarella, basil, chili, and honey.

What began as an under-the-radar pizzeria in Brooklyn with no liquor licence and no real menu to speak of has grown, in the last three years, into a veritable gourmet juggernaut beloved by food obsessives. First and foremost, Roberta's is a pizzeria, and an excellent one at that. But it also serves an evolved, inventive menu of plates – braised tripe, duck tagliatelle, sweetbreads with taleggio, pork chops – and a little-publicised tasting menu reserved for those who call ahead.
