Both plates were absolutely delicious and we ate every bite. The server was excellent, very timely, and friendly. Everything was clean. The unsweetened tea was wonderful. I will definitely be returning."

"I did not realize just how seasonal Tavern By The Sea is! It seems that there are indoor dining spaces in the restaurant, but a majority of the seating is outside. If you were around New England this winter, it felt like the ones we used to have. Tavern By The Sea would have spent an inordinate amount of funds trying to keep warm, so it's good that they are open in the late Spring, Summer, and early Fall.
We went on the weekend that they had opened up, and decided on dining in one of their interior dining spaces. The table was close to the bar and the server station. You could tell that the staff was getting ready for the busy-ness of the Summer season!
The food is good. The gluten-free pasta dish was tasty, the burger was, too. The fries that come with the burger were substantial. Their Caesar salad was well put together!
I think that this restaurant is an awesome place to take in this little bitty coastal village of Rhode Island. There might be a few other places within this "urban center," but I think Tavern By The Sea has a real feeling of comfort and style."
