What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Sono Seaport Seafood offers a classic waterfront dining experience with a focus on high-quality seafood, particularly its Mussels Fra Diavolo and lobster rolls. While many praise the fresh ingredients, generous portions, and beautiful harbor views, some diners note inconsistencies in preparation and service. The restaurant is a long-standing favorite for its seafood specialties and friendly atmosphere.
"It’s obvious this place wasn’t opened just for the money. With these prices, I wasn’t expecting such high-quality food. Absolutely 5 stars. The Mussels Fra Diavolo were incredible, with the perfect sauce and toasted baguettes. The calamari and fish and chips show they’ve truly mastered the art of maintaining the perfect oil temperature. This place is worth a one-hour drive, even if it’s raining and you can’t enjoy a perfect day on their dock. Our waitress Tracy was “on it” and made the event perfect. 👍
The only “put-off” is it looks like someone that works here parked like a dipstick taking 2 spots when they should be focused on keeping spots for customers."

"I had the pleasure of dining at Sono Seafood, and from start to finish, everything was phenomenal. The atmosphere is welcoming and vibrant, perfect for a night out or a relaxing meal with friends and family. The menu offers a fantastic variety of fresh, flavorful seafood dishes that are clearly made with care and top-quality ingredients. Every bite was delicious — you can truly taste the difference.
What made the experience even more memorable was our server, Sofia. She was warm, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. She offered great recommendations, made sure everything was perfect throughout our meal, and had such a friendly, genuine energy that really elevated the entire dining experience. It’s rare to come across such top-tier service these days, and Sofia absolutely nailed it.
If you’re looking for a seafood spot that gets everything right — food, ambiance, and service — Sono Seafood is it. I’ll definitely be back soon!"

On A Positive Note: It has a nice water view and the free parking lot.
While waiting to be seated, we ordered drinks. The strawberry daiquiri was horrible- a super sweet slushy.
My mom ordered The strawberry salad which was appealing to the eyes and the taste buds. Everything was really fresh. I ordered fried oysters. I asked the server about the seasonal vegetable so which she responded french fries or baked potato.🤔 I repeated myself and then she responded. She thinks it’s corn a cough, but she’s unsure if they have any. Upon verifying that they indeed had some I told her that I would have fries. She went on to tell me that I only have a choice of one side if I wanted to add a side of corn I can do so. 🤔 I never ordered corn. I simply inquired as to the seasonal vegetable. Nonetheless, my order arrived. It was pleasung to my eyes and freshly fried. The oysters were flavorful and juicy. My one complaint is the little cup of coleslaw that tasted more like a cheap mayonnaise cabbage mix. It would have helped if they added perhaps some carrots, some relish and/or vinegar, something.
The Verdict: I would return for the water view and the fried oysters, but I would definitely pass on the strawberry daiquiri. The service was ok but I would I would request a different server next time to compare."
