Housed in a restored 19th-century building on Ogden’s Historic 25th Street, Roosters Brewing is a family-friendly restaurant and brewery serving up a large offering of burgers, pizza, steak and seafood. Try their Nauty Fries, Famous Fish Tacos (topped with local Beehive Cheese) or Roosters Beer Battered Fish & Chips. While walking in the SLC Airport about a year ago, I saw a huge “Rooster’s Coming Soon” sign and asked Will what Rooster’s was. I was so proud of how thoughtful the Salt Lake International Airport was being with having locally-owned restaurants inside of it but I had never heard of Rooster’s Brewing!. Turns out it’s an Ogden classic that the locals love.

Her family’s go-to favorites are Lucky Slice Pizza and Roosters Brewing Co. And lately, she’s been craving Angry Goat Pub, regularly indulging in dishes at the 21 and over dining establishment (with one of the best beer selections in town) when she doesn’t have her kids in tow.

A brewery that seemed more of a restaurant than a brewery, the food had great flavor and is located on Ogden’s historic 25th street. I had a nice steak with mashed potatoes that was dripping in a house made sauce (no beef gravy from a can here!). Their beer was decent.

When I worked in Ogden years ago, this was a favorite business lunch hangout. I still enjoy dining at Roosters with family and friends for dinner, lunch or brunch. Even though Roosters is a microbrewery, I do not hesitate to bring my children.
