What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Sedalia's Oyster & Seafood garners praise for its exceptional, inventive seafood dishes, particularly its oysters, and the intimate, chef-driven experience. While many commend the knowledgeable staff and unique flavor combinations, some diners note the small portions, occasional inconsistencies in service, and a cramped, sometimes drafty ambiance.
"The best experience! We sat at the bar near the kitchen area. Had fun watching the staff prepare and plate. We had oysters, duck, and prawns. The miso butter was chef’s kiss! Gin and tonic was the best I’ve had. Vikki was our server and she was awesome. Will 10/10 go back."

"Very small but really good restaurant. The oysters and the other plates were fantastic. The blend of flavors was something that really makes it special. I didn't think the prices were too high for what you received. The wait staff was extremely efficient and friendly. The only two things that would be considered negative about the experience. First, the dining area has two doors in it. One leading to the kitchen and one leading outside. This happened to be the doors used for the entire restaurant as the wait staff entered the kitchen for the plates and walked through the dining area where we were seated and left the building to go to the 2 other dining areas. The weather was cold outside so a constant breeze was noticeable. You got used to it and kept your jacket on. Lastly, the seats at the tables were uneven and uncomfortable. Both these issues were minor against the.whole experience but some may disagree.
We will return. This is a very nice place with excellent did and a great wait staff. Just a unique layout for dining areas."

"We dined here on Friday evening, 7/11/25. Let me start with my first conversation with Sedalia’s. I called because Open Table said the reservations were full and I wanted to see if there had been any cancellations. A very pleasant and professional woman answered the phone and asked if we would be open to sitting at a counter and if sitting next to each other would be acceptable. I appreciated her asking if that was okay, and it was! Fast forward to our arrival— we were greeted outside the restaurant and shown our seats. I loved our area— it was not in the main dining room, but near the kitchen and bar area. My wife and I loved it because it was intimate and quiet. We started with the oysters (that night they were from Massachusetts and Washington). I loved the homemade hot sauce that was served in a dropper bottle and the presentation. We then shared a series of plates: poached bluefin tuna with charred tomato sauce, olives, and herbs / grilled cucumbers, smoked koji cream, and lovage / New Mexico chili-butter flatbread with mussels and kimchi cucumbers / sorghum semifreddo with a chocolate/nut/salt topping and orange amaro foam.
The presentation was beautiful and the flavors were all interesting, complimentary, and delicious!
For drinks, my wife had a non-alcoholic tonic and soda which was refreshing and I had a nice glass of whit wine from Austria. If you like wine, you will definitely enjoy their wine program! Their main menu changes frequently to keep people coming back.
Glad this restaurant is in OKC! I would definitely recommend going if you enjoy seafood and have not visited there yet. It makes for a special evening. (It is a cozy restaurant so make sure you have reservations before going)."

Fish in the 405
This is a place where you’d normally say “just get the fish,” and though that’s accurate, it’s best to say “be sure to get the fish and one of everything else.” Chef-owner Zack Walters serves a variety of preparations, including a conserva that’s unique to the metro: fish (smoked, pickled, etc.) on house-made pumpernickel with romesco and microgreens.
