Reviews Summary

Lee & Rick's Oyster Bar is celebrated for its incredibly fresh oysters and authentic, no-frills Florida seafood experience. Patrons rave about the lively atmosphere, especially the concrete shucking bar, and the friendly service. While some mention the decor is dated, the quality of the seafood, particularly the oysters and shrimp, consistently earns high marks, making it a long-standing local favorite.

"I have gone to Lee and Rick‘s numerous times throughout the years. Every time I go there, it’s always a great time and the food is always phenomenal. Servers treat us good every time. The oysters there are amazing!! They have been around since the 50s and it’s for a reason!"

"When I heard of an oyster bar with the best deals on a bucket of oyster, I knew this was the place to go. I decided to take my stepson here on our anniversary date that we do every year celebrating when he and I met. My stepson is a seafood connoisseur and so am I we love our bucket of oysters as well as Old Bay season shrimp. The hush puppies were a balance of sweetness, but still that very cornmeal taste. Sometimes you just gotta go for the authentic spots and Lee and Rick is definitely one of them. A place that I will surely take my family two time and time again"

Nicole “Apetebi Iyamile” Novaton

"We were recommended this restaurant, dating back to the 1950s and still in its original form, a place to eat oysters. It has a bar and tables, but the best place to sit is at the counter where the waitresses bring you the bucket of oysters and open them for you. There's a bin in front of you where all the waste falls. It sounds strange, but it's very original and fun. It also has a variety of exquisite dishes. It was a fun and delicious experience"

Lee & Rick’s Oyster House: You’ll have to travel a bit off the beaten tourist track for this one (in the Orlo Vista neighbourhood north of Universal), but it is well worth it as this 73-year-old locals’ venue continues to provide a genuine Floridian experience, with its boat facade and oyster speciality (for which the state’s Panhandle area is rightly famous). There’s a lot more than oysters, though, and you’ll get a great taste of the Sunshine State’s sea-going bounty with anything you choose.
