Reviews Summary

Whale of a Deli garners mixed reviews, with many praising the exceptional quality and generous portions of their sandwiches and burritos, making them a standout. However, several patrons point out the high prices for the area, inconsistent service, and the lack of a restroom as significant drawbacks. Despite these concerns, the unique atmosphere and delicious food offerings often win over visitors, especially those passing through.

"Very nice people and it’s a cool little store. They have ice cream, sandwiches, pizza, etc… I got the crab cake sandwich and it was so delicious. My sister got the shrimp and avocado sandwich and liked it so much she got a second one. Although it was pretty expensive… almost $20 for one sandwich."

Chad Hunter

"This deli is a poor quality, overpriced, under staffed deli. There are NO restrooms in this restaurant! The tables were dirty with food from previous customers. It seems more like an overpriced bodega that serves terrible food at horrendously overpriced expense for the quality of the food. If preplanning a trip, this is a MISS. Hopefully this will save someone a case of food poisoning."

"$54 bucks for 2 sandwiches 2 sodas and a bag of chips later being told I cannot use a restroom from the sassy male cashier seemed a bit personal.
As for the atmosphere loud Mexican ranchero music filled the space its also a sideline boutique of random purses and trinket jewelry. I chose to wait outside as my food was prepared. Sandwiches were average. This was my second time at this deli and both times I was turned off as a customer and their nothing special overpriced sandwiches and sassy rushed service. Not sure who they think they're focus of customers are? A realignment this place is needed. It seems out of touch."
