Also the restaurant at the Little Traverse Bay gold course is very good. Don't miss Knot a Bar at the Bay Harbor complex. Noggin Room (basement of Stafford's Perry) very good for casual; good pizza, salads, sandwiches, specials.

I came here a week ago and am disappointed to say that my experience was less-than-stellar and in many ways just bad. I came here because it had good ratings for gluten-free food (I have celiac.) They had a gluten-free menu from which I ordered a bowl of soup and made sure it was put in as a gluten allergy so it would be taken seriously. After waiting for almost 30 minutes for a single bowl of soup (I was ordering to-go!) they brought out a box with the bowl of soup in it right next to two biscuits, which I was then told by the manager were not gluten-free.

City Park Grill is a restaurant housed in one of the most historic buildings in Petoskey. Located in a building that was constructed in 1875 and was originally used as a billiard hall reserved exclusively for men, City Park Grill is considered a must-visit attraction to uncover the history of the community. In addition to learning a little bit more about Petoskey, you can grab a scrumptious burger, an innovative sandwich, or a mouthwatering entrée from this popular local restaurant.

Located in downtown Petoskey, the City Park Grill is a historic Hemingway haunt history-buffs will love. You can imagine Hemingway writing and smoking at the second seat from the end of the bar, where the charred indentation from his cigar stains the otherwise polished bar. When Hemingway hung out here, the then saloon was the Annex, most likely the inspiration for the saloon in his story The Man of the World.

My favorites include Barrel Back in Walloon Lake, Cafe Sante in Boyne City, City Park Grille and Palette Bistro in downtown Petoskey, and Stafford’s Pier Restaurant in Harbor Springs. Fun fact, if you are here during the season for morel mushrooms many of the local restaurants will have morels as part of their menu.

This is an amazing restaurant and it is one you must dine in when visiting Petoskey. The restaurant is in one of the oldest buildings in Petoskey and it was originally constructed in 1875. The City Park Grill is one of the highest rated restaurants in the area and is known for some amazing dishes.

Head a block up to City Park Grill and enjoy their bone in House Brined Chicken Wings. We almost always order City Park’s Original Hot with a side of their delicious homemade blue cheese sauce (to die for). I even order the blue cheese sauce on the side for almost all my dishes at City Park Grill.

City Park Grill – We dine here all of the time and they are amazing and understand the seriousness!. I commend the staff for always ensuring the food they prep is safe for our boys. They even bake the chicken fingers for our boys now instead of putting them into the deep fryer.

City Park Grill, built in 1875, was initially a male-only billiard hall called McCarty Hall. Today City Park Grill serves everything from hamburgers to filet mignon. You can also enjoy a catch from the Great Lakes, with their whitefish and walleye.

During that terrible time in American history known as Prohibition, owner Frank Fotchtman made sure that Petoskey could still imbibe, building a myriad of secret underground tunnels to move hooch in and out of the building.
