Reviews Summary

CIBO is celebrated for its authentic Italian cuisine, particularly its wood-fired pizzas, and the charming ambiance of its historic bungalow setting. Diners frequently praise the attentive service and the magical atmosphere of the outdoor patio. However, some reviews mention inconsistent service experiences and occasional issues with dish timing.

"Let me start off with a shout out to Jesus for some the best service in a long time. Funny, knowledgeable and great at his job. There's nothing bad I can say about this place. The pizza is immaculate, the pasta is delicious, the limoncello was the best ever. It's so cute and cozy inside and out. Everyone was friendly, it's so nice yet really laid back. Every single part of my and my family's meal, including the dessert I forgot to photograph, was fantastic. Cibo deserves 10/10 and that's what I'm scoring it! Can't wait to go back and try some other pizzas. The best crust I've EVER HAD."

"I recently got to experience Cibo for the first time after my brother and mom had been going for years. They were not lying about the quality of food. This is the only restaurant I've been to where sitting outside is exciting. The patio is cooled with misters, trees, canopies, and umbrellas. It makes sitting outdoors enjoyable, and the lights make the space magical at night. We enjoyed live music as well, which was especially nice. The staff here is attentive and friendly, so I'm glad that my brother, Michael, has the opportunity to work alongside them. This is the perfect spot for a nice date downtown!"

Carina Del Bosque

"Wonderful time at CIBO. We did make reservations for 6 of us and we’re celebrating a birthday. We sat outside. Although it was summer, it was in the evening and they had misters on so it was cool. The food was pretty good. We got a mix of pizzas and pastas to try. The Nutella crepe was great for dessert. I’d definitely come back for the pizza."

Best Italian Restaurants in Phoenix, AZ

Cibo’s bungalow-style exterior and warm, cozy interior make it the kind of restaurant where you immediately feel like home -- which we especially appreciate when we want to chow down on some Italian comfort food. While Cibo does offer a great selection of classic Italian appetizers like burrata and bruschetta, as well as some salads, pizza is really the way to go here. The menu is broken down by white pizzas and those with tomato sauce, and there’s plenty to choose from.

Pizza in Phoenix

Then for really good, wood oven pizza, go to Cibo or Grazzie. Cibo is in downtown Phoenix, great little house, good pizza. Grazie is in downtown Scottsdale, great pizza, good wine and the best desert in town (calzone stuffed with Nutella and bananas, baked and then topped with ice cream.) Do not stand in line for Pizzeria Bianco, you will be disappointed!

Then head over to Cibo (pronounced "chee-bo") for pizza that's better than that other guy's, and in even classier environs, a restored 1913 bungalow with hardwood floors, stained-glass windows, a wood-burning pizza oven, and a wine bar. It's the work of proprietors Karen and Tony Martingilio, who've brought in Italian pizza chef Guido Saccone to deal with the comestibles, while they work the front rooms. Not only is Cibo more expansive than that other ballyhooed bistro, the pies taste better.

cool, trendy hangout spots in downtown phoenix?? (Scottsdale, Tempe: restaurants, club) - Arizona (AZ)

You have to go to Cibo on 5th Ave and Fillmore...personally I think it's better then Pizzeria Bianco that more people rave about. Clubbing options would be the stretch of 3-4 clubs on Washington St and 2nd St, which are more "gangsta rap" type places or there are a few clubs on Central Ave north of Fillmore including a Latin place and a couple Gay clubs with techno type music.
