Reviews Summary

This vegetarian eatery is praised for its creative and satisfying vegan comfort food, with many dishes like the 'Big Wac' burger and buffalo wings earning high marks. The service is generally described as friendly and efficient, contributing to a positive dining experience. However, a notable complaint about customer service highlights a rigid policy that left one customer feeling unappreciated.

"I was blessed to be referred this restaurant. I try to find vegan/vegetarian in every city I go to. Vegan/vegetarian is the way to go and I love supporting local businesses. This was a great recommendation. I had the Big Mac and Brussel Sprouts. The only I hated about the burger is that I only ordered one. Whenever I’m in Phoenix this will be my go to spot. The staff was nice."

"We’ve been coming to Green forever and used to be regulars when we lived in the area. Now we only stop by when we’re downtown for an event like a concert or baseball. I am sad they got rid of grandmas chili. It was always my fave. The food here is always delicious and never disappoints. We’ve tried almost everything on the menu and the “wings”, burgers, and tacos are our go tos."

Nicole Albritton-Burnett

"Went here with my mom who's an avid vegan food discovery lover! She raved about this place and I wasn't expecting it to blow my mind too! We had the noodle bowls and the big wac with cheesy fries. I also went to their next door joint and tried the mr peanut butter ice cream and their baklava latte. Everything was so bomb! I'm from Colorado where its popular to enjoy healthy restaurants. I love that this place is taking on healthy eating in the city. This place truly embodies health mixed with delicious from their detail in quality food, exceptional service, and cute decor. You can really tell they put their all into it and I love that. 10000% reccomend!"

Best Vegetarian & Vegan Restaurants in Phoenix to Try Right Now

Green is one of the Valley’s most popular exclusively vegan dining spots, and for good reason. There are meat-free versions of traditionally carnivorous dishes -- think buffalo wings, chili fries, and Chicago cheesesteaks -- that you didn’t know you were missing (or wanted a vegan version of). The restaurant also strives to use mostly organic ingredients and even has gluten-free options.

This 100% vegan eatery offers comfort food minus the cruelty. Yep, this is plant-based fare at its best. Best Afternoon Tea | English Rose Tearoom

Chef Damon Brasch was the first restaurateur in the Valley to seduce herbivores and carnivores alike with meatless variations on burgers, chicken, crab puffs, po’ boys, cheesesteak, and those legendary Buffalo wings. Green’s mock meats could fool even the most anti-veggie meat-eater, and hearty sides like chili fries, soy-free samosas, fried Brussels sprouts, and eggless rolls make it a meal that leaves just enough room for dessert from next-door sister business tSoynami (at the Phoenix location), where soy-based ice cream treats in 18 varieties await — including popular flavors like cookies ‘n’ cream, mint, peanut butter and chocolate, rocky road, peach cobbler, and chocolate chip cookie dough. Green’s two locations stand out as the places in town where we miss meat the least.

10 best vegetarian and vegan restaurants in Phoenix

Turns out giving up meat doesn't have to mean giving up all-American guilty pleasures like cheese-smothered fries, egg rolls and even a Big Mac. Chef Damon Brasch's restaurant, which has locations in Phoenix and Tempe, serves "New American vegetarian," which essentially means vegetarian versions of all your favorite classics. There are vegan buffalo wings, crab puffs and samosas, as well as a vegan Chicago "cheesesteak." Spicy grilled seitan spills out from slices of ciabatta bread along with caramelized onions and peppers, melted "cheese" and spicy giardiniera.
