Was in Pittsburgh last week for the a little early holiday celebration and tried a steak dinner from one of their top spots Gaucho! This Argentinian spot cooks their dishes over a wood fire grill and is known for their cuts of meat. Everything was 🔥 and don’t hold back on those house sauces! Reviews Summary

Gaucho Parrilla Argentina is praised for its vibrant atmosphere and exceptional wood-fired meats, with many enjoying the unique Argentinian flavors and attentive service. However, some diners have noted that certain dishes may not consistently meet expectations for the price, and occasional service lapses can occur during busy periods.

"I visited Pittsburg last weekend and my friend of mine recommended this restaurant. The foods were awesome, specially jumbo shrimp dish was soooo good. The noise level was quite high and Latin music was so loud (as most of the South American restaurants do) but the overall atmosphere was great."

Sua Jang

"First time here at this location. For lunch, we had the Con Pan sandwiches: Bondi Barbacoa and Rosemary Braised Beef with La Casa salad.

The salad was too tangy. Otherwise the veggies looked fresh. The sandwiches looked nice and tasted ok but we were expecting much more based on past experience when the restaurant was at its original location at the Strip District. The beef was dry and could have more jus or sauce.

Service: welcoming, cheerful, fast

Atmosphere: relaxing, ample space between tables, clean restroom"

R Q

"The service and atmosphere was impeccable- very vibrant, modern and casual. The food photographs beautifully.
Just genuinely confused on why there are so many rave reviews on the food. Not bad at all, but certainly not worth the dinner menu prices they are charging. I would say the quality of food is comparable to your local restaurant in the 20-30 dollar range. Between myself and my partner we tried their house special cut as well as their most recommended appetizers, and the only dish we thought lived up to the reputation was the grilled vegetables. Definitely pop by for a visit to try for yourself- your taste buds are probably different from mine."

Best Restaurants in Pittsburgh: Coolest, Hottest, Newest Places to Eat

The gist: The super-popular Gaucho Parilla Argentina officially made the move from their corner Strip District spot to a bigger space downtown earlier this year, which has given guests more indoor space, and (eventually) rooftop dining, too. The food: Wood-grilled meat platters, empanadas, sandwiches, a selection of house-made sauces, and alfajores. The opening of the new space also introduced a new bar program, with local beer drafts, wine, and cocktails.

Gaucho is already a staple on many people’s lists of their favorite restaurants in Pittsburgh. The meat here is so perfectly cooked that it doesn't need a single drop of barbecue sauce as a compliment; however, the restaurant offers an assortment of sauces ranging from garlic to chimichurri as a supplement.
