Reviews Summary

Pusadee's Garden is lauded for its magical garden ambiance and creative Thai-inspired cuisine, with dishes like the Khao Soi Beef Cheek and lamb shank receiving high praise. While many rave about the atmosphere and attentive service, some find the experience slightly stuffy or pricey, and a few have noted issues with servers or limited drink options. Overall, it's a highly recommended spot for a special occasion or a unique dining adventure.

"Had been hearing a lot of good things about this place so my boyfriend and I decided to have his birthday dinner here. Between the atmosphere, service, drinks, shareables, and entrees we were not only stuffed but satisfied! Our favorite was the pork belly and the lamb shank. I’m not usually a fan of pork or fat but it literally just melted in our mouths and the lamb shank was beyond expectations with the flavor, portion, and the broth! I would definitely recommend this place and we will definitely come back!"

"Chic Thai-Fusion Dining

This Thai-fusion restaurant pairs inventive cuisine with stylish décor and a lovely garden patio. The interior is sleek and thoughtfully designed, while the outdoor seating feels like a hidden oasis — perfect for warm evenings.

It suits a range of occasions: a romantic date, a business lunch, or a slightly dressy night out with friends. The menu puts a modern spin on classic Thai flavors, so expect creative dishes that look as good as they taste. Overall, a polished spot that delivers both ambiance and flavor."

"Thai food with a touch of elegance. From the moment you walk in you’re enveloped in a sleek and sophisticated atmosphere. The dining experience from service to food is a reflection of this. The menu items I tried were rich with umami and delicately layered with heat.

I did find the menu items a tad pricey for the quantity of food. But, everything was enjoyable nonetheless. Some highlights are there’s plenty of options for vegetarians and vegans!"

Where to Eat and Drink in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

No need to request a table with a view at this otherworldly hideaway in the trendy neighborhood of Upper Lawrenceville. Pretty much every seat has one, by nature of the architecture, which is defined by two century-old brick rowhouses connected by glass-walled arcades that wrap around a tranquil center courtyard. Owners Watcharee Tongdee, chef Bootsaba “Gik” Tongdee and Michael Johnson have created a truly magical place, where “grandma-inspired” Thai dishes range from paper-thin slices of flash-cured fluke (think Thai-style crudo) and fire-kissed tamarind shrimp to a caramelized short rib with egg noodles and pickled mustard greens.

Pusadee’s is now in the third phase of its Pokémon-style evolution. While this Upper Lawrenceville staple started out as a humble BYOB Thai spot perfect for thrifty couples, it quickly became beloved for its titular garden, a bountiful oasis along a once-sleepy stretch of Butler. Soon, Pusadee’s had a liquor license and a long wait list — and then it closed for over a year, re-emerging as a palatial restaurant with reconfigured garden seating.
