This long, narrow Japanese sushi bar and noodle house offers a long menu of udon, ramen, and other hearty soups along with stir-fries, sushi rolls, and donburi (rice bowls). Start with tofu fries, miso soup, seaweed salad, spring rolls, or gyoza pot stickers stuffed with cabbage, pork, and green onion. Finish with a slice of green tea tiramisu.

Hanazono, located right below the With These Rings studio, serves delicious sushi and Japanese food. Enjoy Port Townsend themed sushi rolls like the Victorian Roll with tempura shrimp, cucumber, daikon sprouts inside, eel, avocado, tobikko and sesame seeds on top with eel sauce or the house themed Hanazono roll with spicy albacore, cucumber, and daikon sprouts inside, albacore and tobikko on top with spicy chili sauce, chili garlic mayo, and sesame seeds. Hanazono is open for lunch and dinner Wednesday - Sunday.

Hanazono is a tasty noodle shop downtown and Sirens Seafood Bar has pretty solid pub fare. Fountain Cafe is also a favorite, the crab stuffed mushrooms are delicious, and it’s fun to devour loaded sandwiches on the deck at Howell’s — watching ferries glide to and fro.

Next door to the theater is this small eatery, that was filled to capacity at 7 PM on a Sunday!. I ordered some sushi to go and was not disappointed, though according to locals I spoke with, their noodle dishes are the main attraction, which the name would suggest.
