What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Khu Larb Thai is celebrated for its authentic and flavorful Thai cuisine, with many hailing it as some of the best on the Olympic Peninsula. Diners appreciate the generous portions, warm ambiance, and friendly service. While most reviews are highly positive, a few mention that some dishes can be overly salty or differ slightly from traditional preparations.
"This is likely the best Thai food on the Olympic Peninsula, and perhaps the entire state.
I’ll let others talk about the other dishes, but I’m here to say that the Pad Thai is extraordinary. Perfect balance of flavor. Not overly vinegary like many. I get it with beef and 3 star heat. It is what I hope for when ordering Pad Thai and is what I measure all other Thai restaurants against.
Friendly staff. Quick service."

"Everything we tried was good, but I would order the drunken noodles again. The restaurant's environment wasn't my favorite. I prefer more personal space when dining with my family."
Keela Meyer
"We've only had Khao Soi one other time, at a highly rated restaurant in Las Vegas - it was very good in Vegas, and the Khao Soi here blew that out of the water! So delicious, flavourful, and perfectly spiced.
We also had mango sticky rice, thai tea, and cha manao. Everything we had was amazing!
Portions were big, we were able to split the entree and dessert between 2 people.
Really nice decor, as well."

No visit of Port Townsend would be complete without a meal (or two) downtown, where cafés nestled in historic brick buildings serve up all kinds of fare—think Mediterranean and Asian-influenced eats from Silverwater Cafe, salads and sandwiches from Owl Sprit Cafe, pies from Waterfront Pizza, Thai food from Khu Larb Thai, and sushi from Ichikawa. For camping groceries and excellent natural wine, check out the Food Co-op; for a waterfront dining experience like no other, pay a visit to Admiralty Fine Foods, whose menu is the stuff of vacation dreams (dungeness crab dip; impossibly fresh clams; roasted garlic toast; toasted hazelnut salad).
Jazz Port Townsend 2004 article @ All About Jazz
Ingrid Jensen/Bob Florence Quartet were much more interesting at the club date later Friday night at Khu Larb Thai Restaurant. Jensen's sensuous-but-tough trumpet and flugelhorn abstractions were a perfect sweet-and-sour marriage to Florence's weird, angular keyboard musings, and the restaurant's spicy prawn entrée was as scrumptious as the fiery jazz.
