Harry's Bar & Burger

Accomplished Alsatian-born chef Hubert Keller is serving a wide variety of top-notch burgers at his Las Vegas, Nevada, must-visit Burger Bar. The basic burger here is certified Angus beef on a plump bun with tomatoes, onions, lettuce, bacon and American cheese, but the burger that Keller enjoys so much he put his name on it starts with a bison meat patty and is topped with caramelized onion, wilted baby spinach and blue cheese, and is served on a ciabatta bun alongside red wine shallot sauce. And if you just hit the jackpot, splurge on the Rossini, an Australian wagyu patty topped with foie gras and truffles, which sells for $65.

For the casual carnivore, there’s Harry’s Bar and Burger, which boasts two delicious locations (121 North Main St and 301 Atwells Ave). Sliders come two to an order, though you might want to give into temptation and add a third —especially if you’re dining during happy hour (3-5 p.m.), when burgers are half-price. Items of note: Harry’s Meltdown is a sinfully scrumptious pile-up of caramelized onions and Swiss cheese complemented by sweet potato fries slathered in an appropriately green “kryptonite” aioli.

If you can resist the boozy milkshakes at Harry’s Bar and Burger, head straight for their beers. The restaurant, which recently expanded from just their North Main and Federal Hill locations to Lincoln and Newport, has a curated selection of “no crap on tap” craft beers you might not have heard of yet, but will soon start making repeat appearances in your life. Last month, Founders Brewing hosted a special Breakfast for Dinner event and served three of their breakfast stouts.

On the menu, you'll find a bountiful selection of modern American fare. They serve up lots of different inventive burgers, including the Mother of all Burgers: a classic cheeseburger, hickory smoked bacon, portabello mushroom, and fried onion strings. If your dog is in the mood for a hot dog, he can slurp up the Sloppy Harry Chili Dog, served with spicy house-made chili and raw onions.

Voted #1 burger in Rhode Island, Harry’s Bar & Burger is recognized for its sliders and boozy milkshakes in decadent flavors like maple bourbon and frozen oreo. You can also go bunless with a hearty slider bowl. You won’t even feel like you’re spending money here, however, you will feel the weight gain. The burgers are massive and meaty. Any burger lover will enjoy their messy burgers and skinny fries.
