Although Vidrio is known as a restaurant, the bar seating area and cocktails make it a good spot for a few drinks on a night out. Here, artisan crafted tiles, mosaic art, cool-toned furniture, spectacular chandeliers and a hand-blown glass installation by artist Doug Frates evoke and upscale Mediterranean feeling. Vidrio offers an award-winning wine collection (more than 50 wines on tap, plus another 300 bottles in the collection) plus artfully crafted cocktails, and food made with a mix of local and imported ingredients (think: olive oil shipped straight from Greece).

This stunningly gorgeous, Mediterranean-inspired, two-story gathering space in the Glenwood South entertainment district opened in 2017 to great fanfare. This Mediterranean restaurant has a number of Valentine’s menus, ranging from $65 to $105, including dishes like heirloom carrots with tahini yogurt and pistachios, honey-coriander duck breast and grilled octopus. Moroccan beef skewers, served with a harissa-spiced Greek yogurt, are a deservedly popular small plate offering at Vidrio in Raleigh.

Vidrio is arguably the most beautiful restaurant in Raleigh, maybe even North Carolina. The design is absolutely breathtaking and offers an atmosphere unlike any other in the Triangle. They specialize in Mediterranean-style dining and cuisine with small plates brought out as they are ready instead of all at once.

This gem of a restaurant is a great spot for date night or for dinner with your girlfriends!. I highly recommend ordering lots of small plates to share for a fun dining experience. Some of my favorites include the patatas bravas, burrata and root veggies, and the charred octopus.

Founded with a Florida seafood restaurant in 1978, it now boasts 35 restaurants and 2,000 employees throughout the Southeast, including the Carolina Ale House chain and the popular Mediterranean restaurant, Vidrio on Glenwood South, which we are still yet to try!

With its Mediterranean vibe, Vidrio is perfect for an upscale photoshoot. Throw on that fit you’ve been wanting to wear and get ready to strut your stuff. The glass wall is the perfect backdrop for any photo and add a glass of wine in hand and you’re good to go!

Vibrant and modern, Vidrio is one of the trendiest dinner spots in Raleigh. It also has one of the largest spaces for private events in the city, hosting up to 250 people, so it’s ideal if you want to throw a big birthday party.

Vidrio means “glass”, which will totally make sense to you when you walk through that (really fancy) door and see the décor for yourself. The entire main wall of the restaurant is entirely covered in glass bowls and orbs.

I love the lighting, the blown glass art on the walls and the display of more than 300 wine bottles. I can’t stop looking at how beautiful everything is. Then the food comes and that is beautiful too.

We went there the night we eloped (we eloped, then had a celebration dinner months later at Oak Steakhouse) and it's an absolutely beautiful restaurant.
