H.T. Grill

Ordered the 1701 Meatloaf in the past and there was much more meatloaf than the portion I got this time. While it tasted great, I think the small-sized medallions made this not worth the price. Ordered the Rotisserie Chicken Cobb Salad, but received and was charged for the Rotisserie Chicken dinner with broccolini and potato wedges. Too tired to file a complaint, or to bother ordering anything else, we kept the dish. Not only was it not what was ordered, the sides listed with the Rotisserie Chicken dinner on the menu is not what we got. The French Onion Soup is usually fantastic, but this time there was too much pepper or spice that made it too spicy to eat as I am unable to eat spicy foods. The food is usually great, but this time I was really disappointed.

Perhaps even busier was the nearby HT Grill (1701 S. Catalina Ave., Redondo Beach; 310-791-4849, www.htgrill.com), a more sophisticated sibling of the nearby Hennessey’s Tavern, where the options for outdoor seating are many, both in front, on the side, and in a garden area as well. And where the menu, once you’ve worked your way through the many drink options (and we all need a drink these days!), is substantial and soothing.

Everyone can walk to the Beach, to shop or dine H.T Grill, Hennesseys, Starbucks, (everything to eat or buy is avail in blocks from any country.) Discover the true heart of Redondo, a walking paradise, with its shops and places to stop in, Starbucks, Coffee Bean, Albertsons, Vons, Trader Joes, Chase, B of A. Blaine Nutrition, Cafe Arrigato. It’s well worth the trip and to visit and consider buying a home.

Wonderful things have been happening in the kitchen since Executive Chef Nael Taki has taken over this Riviera Village mainstay. The menu has been completely revamped with a selection of appetizers, salads, hand-held items and a well-rounded offering of entrees.

For farm-to-table California cuisine with Mediterranean inspirations, chef-driven HT Grill near Riviera Village plates creative dishes like goat cheese ravioli, grilled Spanish octopus, and dry-aged bone-in ribeye. Don’t miss the bacon peanut brittle bacon dessert!. The elegant ambiance with fireside patio seating makes for ideal date nights with impressive eats.

The cornerstone spot is HT Grill, a bar and restaurant owned by Hennessey’s Tavern. The best spot here is the patio; grab a beer and a chair by the fireplace if a seat is available. It’s more relaxing than wild, so singles should instead seek out Hennessey’s just up South Catalina Ave., in Riviera Village, or Rebel Republic Social House.

Grill on Catalina Avenue to meet some local business owners who are justly excited about what Redondo Beach has to offer tourists. The Chamber of Commerce did an excellent job of providing us with plenty of subjects that would be of interest to people planning vacations.
