Reviews Summary

SUGARFISH is widely praised for its exceptionally fresh and high-quality sushi, often described as 'melt in your mouth.' Diners appreciate the curated omakase experiences and the intimate, chic ambiance. However, some have noted issues with service consistency, small table sizes, and occasional ingredient unavailability, leading to disappointment for some patrons.

"Sugarfish had it all! This is the best sushi I've ever had, asking with one of the best experiences ever. The service is top-notch. I went with coworkers who spoke very highly of it, and it did not disappoint. Everything I tasted was nearly perfect. Surprisingly, it was moderated priced for an excellent meal. I highly recommend Sugarfish, and I will be back often."

"I have always loved SUGARFISH, the Manhattan beach location is no exception. Sugarfish is a great date night or special occasion. The sushi is always fresh and the ingredients are high quality. Don't come hungry, but it's more about the experience and less about feeling full at the end of the meal. I would recommend Sugarfish and will definitely be back."

"Waited about 15 minutes - hostess wasn’t very friendly.

They serve beer, wine and sake. The Sauvignon blanc was very crisp and refreshing

Started with Edamame which was ok, yellow tail was very good & blue crab and dungarees roll was average. Best item was the sweet shrimp which was on their special menu.

Service was very good. The tables however are very small so you hear everything your neighbor is saying plus it is very hard to get in and out of the table. And I am a fairly thin guy.

Overall - we we were pleased"
