What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Moore Street Cafe is a beloved RVA spot for classic American diner fare, praised for its delicious pancakes, French toast, and generous 'Moore Mosas'. While the food is consistently a hit, some reviews mention occasional greasiness or a preference for crispier hash browns. The unique, quirky atmosphere and the fun indoor waiting area with a bar add to its charm, making it a popular destination despite potential waits.
"Unlike other diners the food here is not greasy or heavy at all. I got one of the bigger plates of food with beef hash and four eggs and a side bowl of oatmeal and still felt full without feeling heavy. The cute drinks bar next store was a nice way to wait for our table to be ready. The drinks were well made too.
The staff are friendly and attentive, and the ambiance of the place is eclectic and fun.
I love a good, fresh, diner and I knew this one would be good the moment I walked in.
My only critique is that the hashbrowns could be crispier, but I don’t hold stuff like that against places because that’s a personal preference and I could’ve asked for that.
I’d absolutely come back here."

"I've found the food at Moore Street Cafe to be pretty good. I really appreciate their walk-up window, which is perfect for grabbing takeout or eating at the benches out back. The staff is usually friendly, and stepping inside definitely gives you that classic diner atmosphere. Overall a pretty simple menu with something for everyone."
