What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Fiorella is celebrated for its exceptional Italian cuisine, particularly its housemade pastas and wood-fired pizzas. Diners praise the cozy, chic ambiance and the attentive, friendly service, especially when seated at the counter. While many rave about the authentic flavors and well-crafted dishes, some note that prices are high for the portion sizes and the intimate space can be quite loud.
"Cozy restaurant in the Rochester Public Market with a menu with the perfect number of delicious offerings. Everything is homemade...pasta, sauce, bread, gelato, and most of their desserts. are all homemade. The service is outstanding too."
D. McDell-Hernandez
"I would rate this a 3.5 if I could choose that option. The food is pretty good but very prices are extremely high for what it is and nothing blew our socks off. Also the atmosphere doesn't scream Italian at all, more of a modern hipster kind of vibe which did not work at all. Service was great and everyone was friendly. Unfortunately we probably won't return."

"One of the best Italian places in roc! Love it here for a quick cutlet for lunch or dinner. Definitely recommend a reservation and keep in mind it is extremely loud in there. Vibes are great with tables close together (kind of NYC style) but it’s very loud due to that.
Recommended dishes:
Chicken cutlet
Cacio e pepe
French fries"

Rochester's best drinks: cocktails for the dog days
Prosecco screams summer, and prosecco cocktails are all the rage. At Fiorella (named after chef/owner Gino Ruggiero’s daughter), an array of lighter-style cocktails and simple Italian fare are the focus. This deliciously incorrect Negroni is made with dry prosecco instead of gin, plus a boutique version of Campari called Cappelletti—an Italian vino aperitivo that lends slight bitterness and aromatic notes to the slender, effervescent drink.
