What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
LanZhou Ramen is celebrated for its authentic, hand-pulled noodles and flavorful broths, with many diners raving about the quality and texture. The live noodle-making spectacle is a significant draw. While most reviews are overwhelmingly positive, some patrons have noted dishes arriving lukewarm and lacking depth in flavor, though appetizers like dumplings often receive high praise.
"This place is awesome! I was surprised to find that LanZhou was busy on a Sunday night. That shows how popular it is. I had the fried chive pancake and special hand pulled noodles. Both were great. I will definitely go there again."

"Highly recommend this place for a quick bite or sit down dinner. It has some of the best beef noodle soup I have ever tasted, and noodle texture was chewy and wonderful. Always a plus if you get to see the cooks pull the noodle live. Definitely get the House Special if you don't have any other preferences"

"We stopped in on a Sunday evening and the place was busy. We had high hopes for this spot but were unfortunately disappointed. We ordered the Beef Tendon Pulled Noodle Soup and the Roast Duck with Rice—both dishes arrived lukewarm, lacking flavor, and were very sparse on meat. The broth and seasoning were bland, and it felt like the dishes were prepared without much care.
On a more positive note, the fried pot sticker dumplings were delicious—crispy, flavorful, and well-seasoned. That was the highlight of our meal.
The staff was friendly and the dinning area was clean.
Overall, we left feeling let down, especially considering how excited we were to try this place."

75 Best Restaurants in Atlanta
Dinner and a show, and all from the same seat: A window into LanZhou’s kitchen lets diners observe chefs rolling out and hand-stretching the impossibly long, exuberantly springy noodles that eventually wind up on tables—served either in steaming bowls of soup (with various cuts and off-cuts: beef, beef tendon, roast pork, intestine, tomato and egg, lamb, and so on) or stir-fried, in options including regular, spicy, and cumin-scented. Whatever the configuration, they’re a tonic for anything that ails you. Founded in 2017 by Fu Li Zhang, the restaurant takes its name from the Northwestern Chinese city where these kinds of noodles originated.
Ultimate Atlanta restaurant guide for noodles: Asian noodles
Some of Atlanta's best-crafted Asian noodles can be enjoyed seven days a week at LanZhou Ramen on Buford Highway. Through a window in the back of the room, you can watch knife-wielding noodle-lords slice strips of dough straight into steaming broth, or pull delicate threads by hand. The hand-stretched noodles are perfect in soups; I like the one with "stewed meatballs." The thicker, knife-cut noodles are ideal for stir-fries.

For a great meal and a show, LanZhou Ramen is the place to be!. Their noodles are the perfectly savory, carby treat when you’re just in the mood for noods, but the best part of going to LanZhou probably has to be getting to watch their chef handpull and make the ramen noodles in front of you. Choose from their thicker knife cut noodles or their thin hand-pulled noodles, and don’t skip out on the pan fried dumplings either!
