Round Rock… this one caught a lot of people off guard 👀 Cork & Barrel — right by Dell Diamond — just SOLD in a bankruptcy case. And the numbers are wild 👇 👉 Sold for $5.3 million 👉 But owed about $7.2 million That’s nearly a $2 MILLION gap 😬 So what happened? It opened in 2021… tough timing. Even though revenue was growing… 👉 They were still losing around $500K a year Eventually, it caught up. Now...

Reviews Summary

Diners frequently praise Cork & Barrel for its fantastic atmosphere, extensive beer selection, and delicious food, particularly the fish and chips and charcuterie. However, some reviewers note inconsistencies in service and occasional unavailability of menu items, with a few guests feeling the 'Irish' theme could be stronger.

"Stopped by for a late lunch, this place is awesome! The patio is beautiful and the genuine Irish elements really immerse you into the full experience. Austin was our server and he was friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, and definitely made us feel welcome. I had the turkey club and Irish stew (both incredible) and my partner had the grilled cheese and tomato soup (also both incredible). Make sure to order the bread and butter appetizer, it’s a must! We will for sure be back!"

"The corned beef and cabbage was awesome! The beef was tender and the gravy was delicious.

This place looks so fancy even their urinals are swanky.

Next time I definitely wanna sit on the patio if it's not a sweltering day."

"I went for Valentine’s day and enjoyed the Pre Fixe menu they had (see images for menu). It was $70 per person and came with a complimentary glass of champagne. Our server, Erica P, was absolutely amazing and very attentive. She was even accommodating and moved us to a quieter space which I felt was a major upgrade. It felt like a private room and was a nice intimate space with beautiful design.

The food was amazing. For the first course I had the Charcuterie board, which originally wasn’t on the menu, and my partner had the Roasted Poblano and Gouda soup. The Charcuterie board was perfectly portioned although I wish it came with more crackers for the cheese. The soup was heavenly and very warming. Almost wanted to ask the chef to slip me the recipe! For the main course we had the Surf and Turf as well as the Duck Confit Risotto. The Surf and Turf was great, it came with braised short rib in a red wine sauce, some greens, a potato croquette, as well as lobster ravioli. Everything was a standout, except the lobster ravioli which was just pretty good. The duck confit risotto was very flavorful and was a pretty big portion. We were able to take some for leftovers which was nice. I had a glass of chardonnay with my meal along with the champagne and both were very tasty. The drink menu was very nice and I liked how creative the cocktails were.

I would say expect to pay a good amount here. Aside from our meals, my glass of wine was $11 and my partner’s beer was $8. We tipped 25% on top of the bill because our service was just amazing from Erica. I felt it was all worth it as the atmosphere, food, and service were great.

TLDR; Amazing service, amazing atmosphere, amazing food. Pricey but worth it in the end. Perfect for a date night!"

13 Things To Do In Round Rock, Texas

Beer fans will love what’s on tap at Cork and Barrel Craft Kitchen and Microbrewery, which offers cozy interior seating with “Irish snugs” and fireplaces, as well as spacious outdoor seating under a covered patio. Order the Irish stew or the fish and chips, or share a Nosh Board, filled with house-made pretzels and charcuterie for a fun evening out with friends. Don’t miss the nods to the Titanic—the owners’ ancestors were riveters of the storied vessel, and the women’s restroom replicates some of the design elements of the ship’s staterooms.
