What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
The Gnome Craft Pub receives praise for its delicious food, particularly unique items like pork belly wings and wet burritos, and its expansive dog-friendly patio. However, some diners have experienced disappointing service, particularly regarding attentiveness and attitude, and issues with menu item availability. While the atmosphere can be loud, the food quality generally outweighs these concerns for many patrons.
"I googled best Bloody Mary near me when we were deciding where to go to breakfast. Everything was phenomenal…. service, food & drinks. The wet burrito, I was beyond impressed, might be the best thing I’ve ever eaten! Thanks for the amazing experience!"

"I came here on Sunday with a reservation with friends. The parking is very limited and tight. You can either park in their parking lot or street parking. We luckily got a spot in the parking lot. The pavement in the parking lot is a little rocky and has unevenness so if you are wearing high heels, just be careful.
Upon entering the restaurant, we were not greeted. we also had a server and his demeanor and attitude was expressing that he did not want to be there. We were also disappointed that most of their food items were not available. We had request requested for a few items and things, but we’re not completed at that time. The server also did not ask if we wanted to tip but proceeded to give himself a 20% tip.
Overall, besides the service, all the food was great and brought to us in a timely manner."

"Really pretty outside seating! All the food that I tried was pretty good, nothing special. I did really love the siracha plum wings. All of the waiters were really nice yet took a pretty long time to get to our tables, but overall a good experience!"

Why Selby Avenue boasts the Twin Cities' best patios
Frost (in my opinion, the crown jewel of the bunch); a pair of “newcomer” patios sit kitty-corner to each other at Handsome Hog and Red Cow, each with views of the sidewalk; a block west, the intimate patio at La Grolla is almost hidden between two historic buildings; a few doors farther down, the The Gnome patio sprawls around its historic restaurant; and finally, a gem of a patio sits behind Revival just past Mackubin Street.

This sprawling deck offers plenty of spaces to soak up the sun while you enjoy one of their 60 beers on tap. Snack on their garlic cheese curds, or their popular giant pretzel with spicy pickle dip and beer cheese sauce. For dinner, try their stuffed portobello mushroom, Cubano, or craft mac and cheeses.

Also, remember that while The Happy Gnome closed, it reopened renamed as The Gnome. I have not had a chance to go since the rebrand, but I've heard nothing but good things. (Sadly, the osso buco pot pie finally fell off the menu - I really meant to try that.)
