Boudro's on the Riverwalk

This River Walk landmark serves a great variety of steaks and seafood. A little bit Gulf Coast, a little bit Mexican, and a whole lotta Texan, their something-for-everybody menu caters to almost every palette exceptionally well. Fresh fish is the star of the menu with chile-fried gulf oysters, coconut shrimp, and blackened gulf fish fillet.

Kick off your meal with their famous guacamole and a prickly pear margarita, then move on to decadent entrees of shrimp and grits, prime rib, or gulf crab enchiladas. Of course, there’s no better way to end the evening than with a spot-on Louisiana bread pudding.

You’ll find great guacamole throughout Alamo City, but the best place to try it is Boudro’s, a popular Texas bistro situated right on the River Walk. Ordered by about 90% of its guests, its guac is prepared table-side (pictured above) with all the flourish of a mariachi band. In goes diced avocado, roasted roma tomatoes, serrano peppers, cilantro, freshly squeezed lime, orange juice, chopped red onion and salt—all served with a flute of crispy tortilla chips.

Eating on the River Walk is a San Antonio must and this is a good spot to do it. The focus is on meat, but they do have a veggie platter, which we enjoyed.

Serving the best food in the San Antonio riverwalk region, Boudro’s on the Riverwalk is a local favorite. With great outdoor seating, a cozy indoor dining area, and lots of BBQ and Tex-Mex dishes, this is one of the best restaurants on the San Antonio riverwalk. This place is heaven for a true Texan.

The restaurants San Antonio has to offer don't get hipper than Boudro's. This trendy haunt has been entertaining guests along the riverfront for almost 40 years.

Most of the swoon-worthy goodies center around the Riverwalk, a guaranteed romantic stroll for all couples. Veer off it and you'll find even more gorgeous gems.

The first restaurant we ate at was Boudros, a bistro on the San Antonio River Walk. The latter is a popular and lively attraction with shops and restaurants.

Finally your restaurant recommendations were bang on and we particularly enjoyed Boudros and Paesanos. Thanks again and we hope to visit San Antonio again.
