Reviews Summary
Callie is celebrated for its sophisticated Mediterranean cuisine, attentive service, and elegant atmosphere. Diners frequently praise signature dishes like the Aleppo chicken and creative cocktails. However, some find the portion sizes small for the price, and mention concerns about added service charges.
"Easily one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to. The staff was unbelievably attentive even down to the small details (congratulating for a promotion). The food (Mediterranean Feast) was 5 courses, and each dish was amazing, I don’t think anything was less than a 9.4/10. The wine pairing was 4 courses starting with bubbles to a full bodied white. Highly highly highly recommend this restaurant , and the feast itself to try all dishes. If you do anyone dish, the chicken is incredible. 10/10 experience will be back."

"We celebrated our anniversary at Callie last night. Their entire team is incredible. From the moment you step in the door they’re incredibly welcoming.
The beverage program is really well put together. The cocktail list is innovative and the wine list is accessible and fresh.
The service team gave us great recommendations for food. We ordered a little bit of everything and couldn’t have had a better time.
Thanks Callie!"

"This was my first experience at a Michelin star restaurant and have to say I was very impressed. The restaurant was spacious with cute decor and atmospheric. The waiters and chefs were extremely accommodating to a difficult allergy. Our food was so fresh, tasty, and full of life. The highlight for me was the pita, hummus and fried yam with provolone. Everything was plated beautifully. It did get very busy so I do recommend getting a reservation. The tables were really small and needed to be cleared often which I felt annoying for asking. But nonetheless, great experience."

But save room for dessert, too, especially the Meyer Lemon Pavlova, decorated with rose meringue kisses and honey-whipped labneh and topped with pistachio halva. The Mediterranean feast ($75 a person, $115 with wine pairings) is an approachable way to sample five of Callie’s greatest hits. From his swank East Village dining room, Travis Swikard embarks on a broad survey of culinary touchstones on or not far from the Mediterranean Sea. Pastas such as pappardelle tangled in duck and pork sausage ragù are a highlight. Otherwise, go heavy on inspirations from the sun-drenched southwest Asian/North African region: dips like hummus with the added depth of roasted garlic and smoky baba ghanouj dusted with za’atar, followed by a soulful reimagining of dolmas (grape leaves) stuffed with grilled lamb merguez.
