What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Tomo offers an entertaining hibachi experience with attentive service, often praised for its flavorful and well-prepared hibachi dishes. However, some diners find the sushi to be a weaker point and mention concerns about rushed service and high prices. While the atmosphere is family-friendly, the overall dining experience can be inconsistent for some.
"We walked in unsure what to expect from a hibachi spot inside a resort hotel, but we left extremely satisfied—this was the best hibachi we’ve had in a long time, and we’d happily do it again.
The service was wonderful—friendly, attentive, and well-paced. I loved that the meal was spread out in a way that felt like multiple courses: rice first, then the meat, then the vegetables. Everything was timed perfectly so you could enjoy each part without feeling rushed.
The food was high-quality and delicious. Every bite tasted fresh and well-prepared. The only miss for me was the sushi—it wasn’t bad, but I wouldn’t recommend ordering it.
Excellent hibachi, great pacing, and top-notch service. Skip the sushi, but otherwise, it’s a must-visit."

"The service here was just so bad it made for an extremely disappointing dining experience. Immediately upon being sat the server pushed for our food and drink orders. I barely had a chance to even read the menu. I have 22 month old twin boys and wanted them to share a meal and server told me there would be a $15 charge to share a plate! They are damn babies, what a money grab! After taking our order the server never came back over. Hibachi chef was okay, he wasn’t the most engaging chef, but we still had fun. The second he finished serving us and before I even took one bite of food our waitress came over with boxes and checks. Never asked how our meal was or if we needed refills (which we did!). She never cleared any of our dirty soup dishes from the table and again while I was still eating with my party told me they needed the table for the next reservation. They literally started to bus our plates while we were eating still! We were not even in there an hour. The whole meal was rushed and the server terrible."

"I wouldn't eat here again. Tomo is the Hibachi restaurant located in Hotel Breakers, and I had a very disappointing experience. First off, the prices are absolutely ridiculous, being way over what they should. Secondly, the food is mediocre at best. I've had way better sushi and hibachi at pretty much every other hibachi restaurant I've been to. Finally, the service feels insanely rushed, and the restaurant feels super packed in. The waiter didn't give any time to decide about drinks, and as soon as the hibachi chef left, he rushed the check out, seeming annoyed. Also, there are not that many tables, and only one non-hibachi table that is super tiny, and the whole place feels cramped. The only good part was that the hostess and the chef I had were both great and didn't seem annoyed. I do not recommend this place."
