Farmshop, the all-purpose market at the Brentwood Country Mart, has a whole bunch of fresh-baked breads that perfect for work-from-home lunches (like their sourdough pan loaf), fancy French dinners (their crusty and excellent baguettes), and midday chocolate needs (pain au chocolat). Nestled in the historic Brentwood Country Mart, Farmshop is an artisanal restaurant, bakery and market. The restaurant showcases locally sourced, California-inspired fare for breakfast, lunch and dinner while the bakery offers house-made croissants, muffins, cookies and more, and the market features a carefully selected assortment of prepared foods, charcuterie, cheese, chocolate, produce, wine and beer. Brunch is served on Saturday and Sunday from 8am-2pm in which guests can enjoy a selection of sparkling wine and Champagne at market price during brunch.

The culinary centerpiece of the ritzy-meets-rustic Brentwood Country Mart offers patrons a fresh start every day of the week with Golden State-inspired artisanal goodies, farm-to-table vegetables and fruits, eggs cooked in many styles (coddled and shirred are two options), and an in-house bakery. The weekend brunch ante is upped with additions like chicken liver mousse and a frittata with shishito peppers and whipped lime crème fraiche. Pick up prepared foods, cheese, charcuterie, and chocolate in the market for room snacks.

Opened in 2010 by chef Jeffrey Cerciello, a veteran of Thomas Keller’s restaurants Bouchon and Ad Hoc, FarmShop is both restaurant and marketplace, a charming place to sit down to eat and then to shop for charcuterie, olive oil, fresh produce — and breads and pastries. And since you’re at the Brentwood Country Mart, you can sit outside on the patio under an umbrella, and then do more shopping, or get some ice cream at Sweet Rose Creamery. Thomas Keller Restaurant Group graduate Jeff Cerciello charted his own course with business partner Michel Darmon in the Brentwood Country Mart. The airy space has an open kitchen, black-and-white farmer photos on the walls, a DNA helix-like chandelier, and a space that eases into a multi-faceted gourmet market. Cerciello’s protégée, Joshua Drew, helms the kitchen on a daily basis, primarily producing salads and sandwiches for lunch.

They have a really phenomenal selection of cheeses, high-end snacks, and an extensive stock of wine as well. Located in the Brentwood Country Market outdoor small shopping mall, the Farmshop is beautifully designed to maximize the space which holds an indoor Gourmet market on one side and sit down restaurant on the other. Try the Avocado Hummus, Cured Meats, and the Gioia Stracciatella Cheese.

Farm Shop | I know it’s silly, but if you have that wild salmon or succulent organic chicken and a couple fun vegetable sides like their slaw or vegetable salad you will totally get it. They elevate simplicity with fresh herbs and light clean oils.
