In downtown Sarasota, 99 Bottles and Cask & Ale are two spots where you're guaranteed to find delicious gnosh (brunch and late night) alongside local brews from Sarasota and the Tampa Bay area. 99 Bottles showcases a diversity of "you probably haven't tasted this one before" beers in its 30+ rotating tap and specialty bottle store, and while Cask & Ale is best recognized for craft cocktails: the beer menu offers solid representation from Sarasota, Bradenton, Tampa, and St. Pete breweries.

This upscale port-in-a-storm at the Ritz-Carlton warmed Sarasota to the concept of the hotel bar that welcomes you whether or not your ride home is the elevator. Its ultra-craft-cocktail menu features plenty of fresh juices and bubbles, but herbal, vegetable, spice, and smoke elements deepen many cups’ complexity. Ice is an ingredient here, not just a chiller, sometimes frozen with fruit, flower petals, and aromatics inside for an eye-popping (not to mention tasty) effect.

Former Mr. Beery’s owner and craft beer connoisseur Mark Tuchman recently opened 99 Bottles on the ground floor of downtown Sarasota luxury apartments The DeSota, offering around 30 local, national and import beers on tap. You can bring them home with you, too, either by filling a growler or visiting 99 Bottles' beer and wine retail wall.

This is a fun spot in downtown Sarasota, which is nice as you can walk around and explore after having brunch, lunch or dinner and a few of their wonderful beers. In their own words, 99 Bottles is like Willy Wonka’s factory meets an art gallery for beer lovers. You’ll find a plethora of beers on tap, along with Rosé and Prosecco.

Located just a 12 minute walk from our vacation rentals, they feature 30 rotating taps and 28 wines by the glass. Their beers range from local brews to international offerings. They also have a small food menu featuring sandwiches, cheese boards and snacks.

It’s too soon after Yoder’s to even think about food already. But after the Marie Selby Botanical Gardens, head back to your hotel for a bit. Relax, take a shower, chill out to a point where you feel comfortable eating and drinking again.
