What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
99 Bottles is lauded for its exceptional and constantly rotating craft beer selection, alongside a warm and community-focused atmosphere that makes patrons feel like family. The weekend bagel brunch is a standout, with many praising its delicious offerings. However, one recent review noted a significant decline in food quality and service under presumed new ownership, a sentiment not echoed by most long-term patrons.
"Fun atmosphere! Indoor and outdoor dining. Dog friendly outside. They have a couple seating areas that are super cushy, and a bar area. I didn't check out the bathrooms but it looks like clean place! Breakfast bagels were super yummy and the beer selection is amazing! Because I'm a fatty, My only one complaint is that artichoke dip is not bigger LOL"

"Stopped in for bagels this am, I'm from the north east and was craving a great bagel. They did not disappoint!
The bagel was delicious and hit the spot!
The best part of my visit was the service, I was greeted with a warm welcome. The bagel options were quickly shared and explained. You could take them home partially cooked to eat at home. I opted for fully cooked as I was only thinking about the everything bagel I wanted to try ASAP.
They have sandwichs and I will totally try one next time. As well I will be back later to try the beer!"
Abigail Loughran
"99 Bottles has been my weekend bagel brunch tradition for the past 5 years. Mark and his staff make everyone feel like a friend being welcomed into their home. The bagel sandwich is the best breakfast sandwich in town, and the selection of beer and wine is impressive. The vibe is off the charts.
99 Bottles is my go-to recommendation for visitors and locals!"

Sarasota’s Best Bars
1445 Second St., Sarasota, (941) 487-7874, 99bottles.net Few people take beer as seriously as the staff at 99 Bottles, where the selection is always in flux and you’re always guaranteed to find something new to sample. We love how you can choose different-sized pours, which enables you to try a variety of brews or just double down on one you love. Be sure to sample something from “The Machine,” a custom-made device that allows the bar to pour individual portions from bottles that might be too large (or expensive) to be consumed all at once, without spoiling the rest of the bottle.

The Craft Beer Drinker's Guide to Sarasota
In downtown Sarasota, 99 Bottles and Cask & Ale are two spots where you're guaranteed to find delicious gnosh (brunch and late night) alongside local brews from Sarasota and the Tampa Bay area. 99 Bottles showcases a diversity of "you probably haven't tasted this one before" beers in its 30+ rotating tap and specialty bottle store, and while Cask & Ale is best recognized for craft cocktails: the beer menu offers solid representation from Sarasota, Bradenton, Tampa, and St. Pete breweries.
Cocktails with a View
This upscale port-in-a-storm at the Ritz-Carlton warmed Sarasota to the concept of the hotel bar that welcomes you whether or not your ride home is the elevator. Its ultra-craft-cocktail menu features plenty of fresh juices and bubbles, but herbal, vegetable, spice, and smoke elements deepen many cups’ complexity. Ice is an ingredient here, not just a chiller, sometimes frozen with fruit, flower petals, and aromatics inside for an eye-popping (not to mention tasty) effect.
25 great Sarasota-Manatee spots for craft beer
Former Mr. Beery’s owner and craft beer connoisseur Mark Tuchman recently opened 99 Bottles on the ground floor of downtown Sarasota luxury apartments The DeSota, offering around 30 local, national and import beers on tap. You can bring them home with you, too, either by filling a growler or visiting 99 Bottles' beer and wine retail wall.
