During our first year in Sausalito – and right before the pandemic closed everything down – we actually had our first Valentine’s Day dinner at Scoma’s… and we were not alone in thinking it was the perfect spot for a romantic meal. Located on the waterfront, Scoma’s of Sausalito presents a charming blend of rustic charm and refined elegance. Its inviting, intimate atmosphere is enhanced by the soft lighting, cozy booths, and stunning vistas of the marina.

The service was exceptional, and the food — whole steamed crabs, grilled seasonal fish, rich chowders — was seasonal and fresh. We ordered two appetizers: the beet salad with arugula, chevre, citrus, avocado, fresh mint, Marcona almonds, and a balsamic vinaigrette with shaved horseradish; and the oysters Sausalito baked with garlic, spinach, and creamy Parmesan. I live in Kansas City, so I’m always craving fresh seafood.

We stumbled upon Scoma’s after we parked near Tiffany Park and started walking towards downtown along Bridgeway Road. Scoma’s is on a pier so you’re seated right over the water!. Depending on which side you sit, you’ll either have a view of the “Amalfi Coast” or a view of downtown and Belvedere Island.
