Reviews Summary

Fox and Fig Cafe is celebrated for its creative and delicious plant-based cuisine, with standout dishes like the French toast and plant-based picnic. Diners appreciate the cozy ambiance and unique espresso bar offerings. While many praise the flavorful food, some find the menu limited and portions could be larger.

"Excellent vegan food and coffee! We tried just about everything on the menu but the standout was hands down the French toast! I don’t even normally like French toast, it was memorable! The plant food picnic was outstanding, the house made cashew cheeses and pickles were a perfect pairing! Chipotle Mac and nachos were tasty too! I’m jealous of the lucky locals to have this place the vibe and ambiance as well as the food was worth the trip to Savanna from FL!"

Tiffany Steinke

"5.0 | So delicious! 100% recommend to try out if you’re in the area and tired of fried foods. They have a small menu, but a great variety of dishes so worth the price. The cafe is a bit small with a few seating areas (not great for big crowds).

I got the Fox-acado Toast, Banana French Toast, Cinnamon Bun, Cold Brew, and Earl Grey Lavender Latte! Definitely recommend the latte as they make the lavender in house. Such a strong tea flavor as well and super unique. Loved both the entrees as well. Very balanced and had such great flavors.

P.S. There is also parking nearby."

A

"Great service, but food was just “ok” and the menu is limited. There is seating available on the sidewalk, which is dog-friendly.

I highly recommend the croissants, but would like to see a larger selection of main dishes."

Yes, even in a city known for its Southern fare and stellar BBQ, there are options for non-carnivores. One of the best is Fox and Fig Cafe, located just off Troup Square. Serving plant-based, all brunch-centric food like eggless quiche, the signature Fox "burger," and clever takes on Southern staples like the fried Southern seitan and sweet potato waffle, a nod to classic chicken and waffles served with sorghum-sriracha syrup; the cafe also has an excellent selection of coffee, tea, and coconut-cream milkshakes.

I ordered the Breakfast Hash with Cashew Hollandaise, sweet potatoes, russet potatoes, cauliflower, asparagus, shiitake mushroom bacon, bell pepper, caramelized onion with impossible sausage and corn tortillas. It arrived looking beautiful, but full of raw and under-cooked potatoes. I received a second plate and this time it was hot and cooked much more (however still had a few undercooked potatoes in there).

I’m going to start by saying I never go in search of vegan or vegetarian restaurants, but again, this one was recommended to me by a local and it was easily a standout.
