Offering Cuban-, Caribbean-, and Spanish-style food since 1999, Rancho Alegre is a standout that has often flown under the radar. Authentic Cuban dishes like croquetas de jamón, boliche, and ropa vieja are served with traditional-style rice and black beans alongside your choice of tostones or sweet maduros. The atmosphere is cozy and homey—like walking into someone's kitchen—and there are very reasonably priced choices for kids in a city where a kid's menu can sometimes be hard to find.

Welcome to Cuba on the Savannah River; Rancho Alegre Cuban Restaurant is a colorful, brightly lit restaurant that hits your senses with live Cuban-influenced jazz the moment you arrive. The menu features dishes like lechon asado, ropa vieja, and milanesa de polla, all accompanied by rice, beans, and plantains. Wash dinner down with a Mojito, Cubre Libre, or red or white sangria.

At the weekends, you’ll be treated to some live Cuban jazz with your dinner service too!. Being on MLK Jr Blvd, this spot just about manages to sneak in as being in the Historic District!

Traditional Cuban dishes collide with exotic music and an atmosphere to match, the proper place to dance Flamenco style is definitely Rancho Alegre on Martin Luther King Blvd. Hosting fantastic Latin acts and boasting mojito’s that you can’t have just one of, Rancho Alegre is like a step into another world.

Live Jazz with a Latin vibe is what Rancho Alegre Cuban Kitchen is cooking up. With some of the best Cuban, Caribbean and Spanish food in town, you have to try their award-winning Paella Valenciana. To top it off every Friday and Saturday from 6:30pm to 9:30pm there is live Jazz in the dining room.

Don't underestimate Rancho Alegre, it is one of the best spots in all of Savannah. I will probably get murdered by my fellow locals for mentioning Panaderia La Canasta, but they have the most authentic Mexican in town.

Who knew you could find AMAZING, AUTHENTIC Cuban food in the South?. Rancho Alegre Cuban Restaurant just became one of my very favorite of favorite finds!. First let’s talk about the house made margaritas.
