What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
The Little Crown by Pie Society is praised for its authentic British meat and dessert pies, with many highlighting the flaky crusts and delicious fillings. The cozy, intimate pub atmosphere and friendly bartenders add to the charm. However, some patrons have experienced issues with seating arrangements, particularly being restricted from air-conditioned areas unless alcohol is purchased, and overheard discussions about tips.
"Very cute hole in the wall bar and bakery with tasty English style pies (savory and sweet) along with an excellent cocktail selection, including a ridiculous amount of different gins for such a small establishment. Very friendly staff. Will definitely return for more pie."
John Lubbers
"Came in on a rainey monday, the bartender whipped up a really tasty whiskey sour and we talked about recommendations on thrifting and different dinner spots. The bartender who extremely nice and very knowledgeable. I ended up getting a sausage roll and it was really tasty. The bar is small maybe 6 people total. Its located in a market in downtown next to so much. They had so many pastries as well and I'd would deff come back for one their yummy looking pies."
Marcos Puglielli
"Cute pub. Excellent key lime pie and steak & potato pie. The pecan pie is just okay though.
We went 4 times in 3 days. 3 of those times I had to hear the staff talking about their tips and who tipped what, which felt icky, and once they said they prefer it with no customers because it’s peaceful. Also, my last time, even though every seat was empty and I spent $40 on pie, I was directed to sit in the overflow seating because I didn’t buy alcohol. It felt rude. Customer service is clearly unimportant."
