Reviews Summary
Belle Pastry is praised for its authentic French pastries, with many enjoying the buttery croissants, tarts, and macarons. The cafe ambiance is often described as cozy and pleasant. However, consistent complaints arise regarding service, with reports of long wait times, inattentive staff, and inconsistent quality.
"Absolutely amazing French pastry shop! Everything I tried was fresh, perfectly made, and full of flavor. The croissants were buttery and flaky, the tarts were delicate, and the staff was super friendly. Feels like a little taste of Paris — I’ll definitely be back!"

"This is a nice French bakery, it gets busy though. The tables are small and limited. But once we were able to get a table and settled down it was pretty nice. We ordered a couple of sandwiches on croissants and I tried a lemon croissant for dessert. The food was good. Service was average. But I liked the location and the atmosphere. We parked at the mall and walked there."

"Their basic pastries (croissants etc.) and drinks (lattes etc.) are reasonably priced for the area and pretty good, but the fancier desserts are now approaching $10.
However, I've mostly had bad service from here to the point that I've often regretted leaving a tip and actively avoid going here. Long wait times (even when you may be 2nd or 3rd in line to order), staff that makes you feel unwelcome, insanely foamed up latte even though you asked for a no-foam latte, etc. I can count in one hand the number of pleasant interactions I've had with the staff over the past several years I've lived in the area."

Seattle’s best croissant: the buttery hunt was on
The panel sampled from eight Seattle artisanal bakeries — Café Besalu, Le Fournil, La Boulangerie, Honoré Artisan Bakery, North Hill Bakery, Essential Bakery, Le Panier and Bakery Nouveau — as well as Belle Pastry and the French Bakery in Bellevue. (We would have loved to sample more had time allowed; as it was, we scattered to these 10 on the same morning, then sped to my home to taste the croissants while they were still fresh.) Testers surrendered their bags in my kitchen, where I arranged the samples into a blind taste-test.

Staying on theme with new cultural experiences, the French Bakery is one of the most laissez-faire restaurants in Bellevue, serving up salads, pastries, and more. Further south near lake Washington, we invite you to taste the freshly baked bread used on the phenomenal sandwiches at Great Harvest Bread Co. Just because these eateries are a little more casual doesn’t make them any less scrumptious or less of a city of Seattle and Bellevue favorite.
