Reviews Summary

Spinasse is lauded for its exceptional handmade pasta, with dishes like Tajarin con Burro e Salvia and the ragù being frequent highlights. The cozy, rustic atmosphere and attentive service contribute to a memorable dining experience, often chosen for special occasions. While the pasta receives universal praise, some find other dishes and the overall price point to be just average, suggesting that the pasta is the true star.

"Spinasse is our favorite Italian restaurant in Seattle!

The portions are small so order a few things to enjoy. The tasting menu gives you a few bites of everything on the menu and is worth it! If the full tasting menu feels like too much the appetizer with a portion of each starter is also great.

Tips:
- Make a reservation early. They open 1-2 months out depending on the season. It’s unlikely to get a table if you just walk in.

- Plan extra time to find parking

- All of the pastas are incredible, the sage is my favorite. My husband loves the ragu. It’s a good idea to also order an entree (2 of us often share one) to complete the meal."

"Absolutely incredible meal from start to finish. The handmade pastas lived up to the hype — rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The tajarin with butter and sage was a standout, but honestly, every dish was memorable. The ambiance is warm and intimate, and the service was attentive without being overbearing. One of the best dining experiences I’ve had in Seattle. Highly recommend for a special night out or anyone who loves Italian done right."

reed civ

"e service here was terrific from the moment we sat down, we felt truly taken care of. The pasta tasted incredibly fresh and high quality. We ordered the risotto and the fresh butter pasta, both outstanding. The cucumber salad was a pleasant surprise paired with hazelnut and cheese, it turned something so simple into something unique and memorable. We also appreciated the welcome bread and complimentary snack to start the meal. I had heard this was the best pasta in Seattle, and I can definitely confirm that it lives up to the reputation."

Up there with dinosaur-shaped chicken nuggets, slices of cheese, Legos, and other stuff kids really like to eat is the illustrious dish that is butter pasta. At Spinasse, all of the upscale Italian food is very good, but their fresh pasta with butter, sage, and parmesan cheese is one of the best noodle-y things a child or a child’s chaperone could eat, period. Not to mention that the space is classy, but also lively enough to drown out your five-year-old’s lengthy explanation of the bubblegum scandal that went down today at recess.

Spindly wood chairs, lace curtains, and rustic ceiling beams bring a monastic brand of beauty, but the overall austerity signals that food is the focus here.
