What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Diners praise the generously portioned shrimp po-boys and authentic Louisiana seafood, highlighting the fresh flavors and casual atmosphere. However, some reviewers have expressed disappointment with seasoning, price, and occasional service issues. There are also mentions of negative experiences with food quality and potential card cloning, though these are not universally echoed.
"I had a great experience here! I ordered a fully loaded shrimp po boy and it was a giant sandwich that was very delicious!
I ate the whole thing but only because I was super hungry- if I would’ve ordered a side with it there’s no way I would’ve had room to eat it all.
There was lots of seating available inside the restaurant and I was pleasantly surprised at their wine offerings
Would recommend!"

"Don't listen to the negative comments. I had a great experience. Had a catfish. po boy and boudin balls. Both amazing. Cute café charm next time I want to try the pho!!!"
Amanda Tully
"There was nobody else besides us there. The white lady behind the counter was not nice. They were way stingy towards us. The atmosphere was fine, but the reception accountant tainted the whole experience. Would not recommend getting the Spring Rolls. My companion got the Alligator Po Boy which was fine, but still, wouldn't recommend. Go over to Marilynns place instead. You get what you pay for and it's a way better atmosphere."

Kim’s Seafood & Po-Boy – If you want fancy, move on (because we’re talking one step below no-frills) but if you’re looking for fantastic fried seafood (catfish, oyster, tilapia, etc..) or arguably, the best shrimp Po-boy in town (stuffed with more shrimp in it than the bun can begin to hold) then you’ve hit the jack-pot at Kim’s. Thrill seekers can go wild and try the fried (tastes-like-chicken) alligator Po-Boy, the crawfish eggroll, or the hot-as-Hades (in a spicy, good way) bucket of boiled crawfish. Kim’s is owned by a hard-working Asian couple (he was formerly a shrimp boat captain and then opened a restaurant in New Orleans which was blown to bits by Katrina ) so no worries about the freshness of any shell-fish selection you’ll get here.
