If you want a cool happening bar to hang out in go to the Superior Steakhouse piano bar. The food is expensive and not worth it but the bar is the place to go.

Superior's Steakhouse -- Chicago-style dining in Uptown Shreveport, takes its customers to a land far north with the greeting of the revolving door and the dark wood lacquered walls. In the winter of 2003, Phil Barbaree and Bob Kirchoff opened Superior's Steakhouse in Shreveport. Known for their successful endeavors at the infamous Superior Grill, the pair wanted to bring an experience to the area.

Okay, if fancy schmancy is your game and you have some money on your credit cards and want AMAZING food, Superior's Steakhouse is perfect. My most recent visit I had the lunch special: a great salad, BBQ shrimp on a bed of mashed potatoes, and topped it off with Bread Pudding (that's actually made with Southern Maid Donuts). Good luck if you’re on a diet, because good Lord have MERCY is it good!

This place manages to pull off sophistication with relaxing comfort and the ambiance plays a great backdrop to the incredible food. While obviously, they specialize in steaks which are sourced from Chicago they do offer an extensive menu with fish, other meat, soups, salads, and sushi, It isn’t all about the steak. If steak is your thing we are not sure you will find much better in this area.

It's one of the most popular fine dining restaurants in town. Expect it to be crowded and you should probably get your reservations now. We checked this week and found spots available on Valentine's night at 5:30 and after 8:30.

In Shreveport Bossier, we have Superior Steakhouse, 2 Johns and Ernests make the list. I am sure there are others I am forgetting about. But that list is much longer if you consider all the great restaurants in the state.
