What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Ode to Food and Drinks offers a stylish dining experience with an eclectic American menu and a scenic river view. Diners frequently praise the unique Bloody Mary bar and the quality of certain dishes like the salmon and steak. However, some reviews note issues with flavor inconsistencies and slow service, along with high prices for the portion sizes.
"A group of us was in town for Rock The Country last weekend and we found this perfect brunch spot. The bloody Mary bar was awesome and our server Casey was the absolute best. I ordered the sausage egg and cheese breakfast sandwich. Our food was amazing and it had a relaxing view. We dined outside and it was fabulous!!"

"First time visiting. Came with some friends for the burger challenge and a few drinks. The burger, The Big Spin Dipper, was really tasty, and I scored it high for the challenge. I had the Ceaser salad for my side. Not sure if the dressing was just bland or if the salad wasn't dressed properly, but it was pretty unflavorful. Wife got the chislic with the pork belly potatoes. Chislic was tender and cooked well, but in our opinion, not seasoned very well. The potatoes were her favorite however, hot and tasty. The complimentary sorbet and champagne pallet cleanser prior to the meal was a nice touch.
Overall, not a bad place, a nice upscale feel and friendly staff."

"EDIT: My coworker came back with the burgers and the burger was medium rare/rare. We’re done after this experience.
I’m going to start with they messed up our orders. Not only did they mess up our orders, they refused to give us some form of a refund because my coworker said she was able to go pick up the remade burgers (I’m pregnant and I can’t miss lunch). The bacon on my burger wasn’t cooked properly. One piece was completely raw while the tip of the other piece was raw. Therefore, I couldn’t eat any portion of the burger due to it being contaminated and I’m not risking my unborn child’s wellbeing over some uncooked bacon. Let’s move onto the ghost cheeseburger. There was no ghost cheese sauce on this burger and it was normal bacon, not the jalapeño bacon it was supposed to have. My burger also didn’t have the garlic aioli on it or the extra aioli on the side that we paid for. The chislic didn’t come with the ranch that we asked for either. Just the ghost cheese sauce. My coworker ran back to get the burgers as I need to eat given my current situation and we just spent $70 on incorrect food. The manager said if they wouldn’t have remade it, they would’ve been able to refund it. That’s ridiculous and this is not how you run a business. Especially when 2 people have to leave to get food. The manager said the owner doesn’t allow them to compensate people in these situations. Horrible customer experience and I don’t think we’ll be supporting them in the future. We’ve been long time customers and this definitely turned us away. This isn’t how you run a business."

Ode to Food and Drinks: If you happen to visit Sioux Falls over a weekend, make sure this is your Saturday brunch spot. Best Downtown Sioux Falls Lunch Spots
It’s a great client lunch meeting spot as well as a happy hour destination!. They also have a great patio that overlooks the river and the rest of downtown. We stuck to indoor seating this time because the weather was not on our side and it was a little too hot to enjoy eating next to the river.
