Reviews Summary

The Victor offers a delightful dining experience with a beautiful setting and attentive service, though some find the food quality inconsistent for the price. While many praise dishes like the filet mignon, ceviche, and deviled eggs, a few reviews mention overcooked meats or flavor imbalances. The charming ambiance, especially the outdoor patio, and well-crafted cocktails are consistent highlights. Reddit+2

"Came here for Sunday brunch while staying at Chumash (their restaurants could use some help in the service department), and we were pleasantly surprised. The location and outdoor seating were beautiful! The hostess and server were both kind and knowledgeable—and most importantly, the food was very good. We wouldn’t hesitate to come back the next time we're in the area."

"Chill, modern atmosphere on their outdoor patio - very relaxing. Service was also very attentive. The BLT&E (eggs) was good although the eggs were a bit undercooked. The cobb salad was also very tasty and had lots of avocado, which wasn't even listed on the ingredients. Unfortunately, as is common with a lot of reheated chicken breast, the chicken was overcooked and tough. Still a good overall experience and we'll go there again. But the food frequently seems to be hit or miss."

"After a fun night at Chumash Casino, we finally decided to try Victor Bar & Grill in Solvang — and wow, I’m so glad we did! I’d been hearing great things about this place, and it absolutely lived up to the hype.
My wife ordered the filet mignon, and it was perfection — tender, flavorful, and cooked exactly how she likes it. I went for the Victor Burger fully loaded, and let me tell you… this thing is next-level. Juicy, piled high with toppings, and honestly one of the best burgers I’ve had in a long time.
The drinks deserve their own shoutout — not only delicious, but also strong. It only took me two to catch a good buzz (and I’m not a lightweight). The cocktails were crafted so well, you can tell they put care into every pour.
The ambience is super cute and quaint — perfect for date night, but also laid-back enough to just enjoy and relax. And the staff? Absolutely amazing. Friendly, attentive, and really made the whole experience feel special."

Homey yet sophisticated, Santa Ynez is a rural paradise

While it’s located on the grounds of the Genevieve, the Victor, which opened earlier this year, has a more contemporary wine country look — a little more prefab than prewar. Still, there’s plenty of patio dining space, a big fireplace and a homey mix of portraits and irreverent paintings on the walls. Prep for your day of wine tasting with brunch, which features classics such as bananas Foster French toast, huevos rancheros with pinquito beans and an eye-catching burger.

The menu is new American with steakhouse favorites and Californian flavors fresh from local farms—and it's all designed for sharing. We recommend the signature deviled eggs topped with smoky trout roe; the bright ceviche tostada; cedar plank salmon with chardonnay cream sauce; and the wagyu filet mignon.
