Reviews Summary

Camp Outpost is praised for its delicious rotisserie chicken, flavorful burgers, and stunning views of Zion National Park. Guests appreciate the friendly staff and the casual, comfortable atmosphere. However, some reviews mention slow service and a lack of attentiveness from staff, with a few encountering issues with management.

"March 2025. We ate dinner here twice during our visit. The staff were very friendly and patient as we deliberated on food. The burger was great, but the fried chicken sandwich was better. The rotisserie chicken was very good. Service was excellent as they'd bring bottles of water to your table. They were very attentive."

"Had a nice outdoor lunch here before going out to Zion. The view from their patio is gorgeous. Note the parking lot is before the restaurant if it is on your right side, we easily missed it. Parking is not abundant and there is a one hour limit.

The service was neither good nor bad. You order at the counter and they bring you your food and drinks. No greeting, no smiles, nobody checks on you. I like that they brought us jugs of water. Ice would have been ideal given the almost 100 degree weather.

Food took a while to come out but that's okay. I got their roasted pork entree. The pork was slightly dry and needed salt, but the chimichurri helped with flavor. The kale under it was fantastic!! The grits it came with were okay. It wasn't giving "grits" but more like a dry rice. The burger was good, we ordered it plain with just sauce and it was a good size and the beef was flavorful. We also got the kids chicken tenders and they were actually very delicious and tasted fresh. My one year old daughter loved the fries.

Overall it's a nice lunch spot with great views. I would consider returning again on my next Zion visit."

"After a long hike through the Narrows we stopped at The Camp Outpost Co and it was the perfect choice. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich and it was cooked to perfection. The breading was light and crispy without being too heavy, and the arugula and pickled onions added such a fresh balance. The brioche bun tied it all together. I got the sweet potato fries on the side and the honey glaze they use worked so well with the sandwich giving that salty and sweet combo that just hits. We also shared the brussel sprouts and fried pickles. The brussel sprouts had a nice crisp and good sauce but the honey mustard they came with just did not pair well in my opinion. On the other hand the fried pickles were awesome, flaky, not too salty, and paired perfectly with their ranch. Lastly, the high mountain huckleberry, you have to get this drink. It is a MUST - that huckleberry flavor is awesome.
My wife ordered the half chicken and it was incredible. The chicken was super moist and the chimichurri with the Yukon potatoes made it even better. Such a good mix of flavors and a great meal to end the day.
Overall this was the perfect stop after hiking and I would definitely recommend it if you are in Zion."
