Even with a menu built on bread and cheese, Druff’s doesn’t serve your run-of-the-mill grilled cheese sandwich. Instead, you’ll find sandwiches with creative fillings that contrast in all the right ways. For example, the Uncle Tatey comes piled high with goat’s cheese, slightly spicy pulled pork, fresh strawberries and a strawberry balsamic reduction spread, all served on wheat bread.

Comfort food and brunch come together in harmony between two slices of sourdough bread at Druff’s, a tiny diner tucked into the corner of North Jefferson Avenue and Park Central East. Known for its crazy grilled cheese sandwich combinations, a popular breakfast sandwich is {The Fun Group} made with cheddar cheese, bacon, fried egg, and an apple between two slices of sourdough. A side of tomato soup, ruffled potato chips or fresh fruit are the perfect combinations to finish off the meal.

Beginning this October, you can find brunch at Springfield’s favorite grilled cheese shop. Located on the first floor of the historic Woodruff building, Druff’s opened its doors in May, and brunch will soon be available Saturdays and Sundays beginning at 9am. Druff’s brunch includes some items from its anytime menu, so – dreams do come true – you can get the [Fungroup] (Cheddar, bacon, fried egg, seasoned and cooked apple on sourdough) for breakfast.

For classic “just like mom made it” flavor (and to save a little dough), go for the Crump Classic at Druff’s. Wake up to mouth-watering breakfast sandwiches in this cozy diner in the heart of downtown Springfield. Options include the Breakfast Mahomes featuring a beef patty, egg and bacon along with pepper jack, cheddar and 15k sauce on sourdough. You’ll also love their breakfast bowls with over easy eggs and a generous helping of other delicious ingredients.

Druff’s is the place for specialty grilled cheese sandwiches or get a taste of Italy at Bambino’s Cafe. For an Asian dining experience, try the Oh My Veggie roll at Kai After Dark or enjoy the sushi at Izumi Hatake downtown. Located right off the Square, Druff's is accepting reservations for Valentine's Day. The restaurant is offering $55 dinners for two, which includes an appetizer, sandwiches, soup and dessert. I would say Druff’s is one of the most underrated breakfast spots in all of Springfield. Druff’s breakfast sandwiches and bowls leave me full and happy every time. The Swipe Right with a mimosa is my go-to move when I visit.
