Terra & Acqua is celebrated for its authentic Northern Italian cuisine, particularly its homemade pastas and wood-fired pizzas. Diners frequently praise the attentive and friendly service, with staff members often going above and beyond. "The best Italian food in Florida!!!
Authentic menu items, high quality ingredients coupled with masterful culinary skills make Terra & Aqua really stand above the competition.
We left feeling like VIPs. Everything was fantastic-food, service, atmosphere, presentation, attitude. Simply the best!
The staff is amazing! Gosia was our server and truly went above and beyond. She took a special drink request that I had (from our last visit to T&A about 1.5 years prior). She had just the right balance of personal and professional interaction. She kept the menu items flowing and engaged us in conversation to keep things lively.
Nicky assisted Gosia and asked for feedback on the meal. He did not hesitate to share that our response would only improve his recipes. Much appreciated attitude.
We also met the Owner/Chef Simone, who sat with us to check on the meal and also get to know us on a personal level. A very traditional and classy touch.
We ordered:
2 drinks (cocktail and wine)
Polpettine in Umido (meatball appetizer)
Gnocchi Salsiccia
Pork chops
Profiteole (scrumptious dessert)
Diavola Pizza
Each dish was just as delicious as the next one.
We will be coming back…quite possibly to live here full time."

"Had a great time for my birthday dinner with my brother, food was good didn't get what I wanted (stuffed pork chops) but the steak was good a bit overlooked wife had the gnocchi with gorgonzola was good..."

"I cannot recommend this place enough! I cannot understand how it only has a 4.1 rating! The food and the service was excellent. Tasty cocktails. The focaccia was delicious. Very classic and authentic Caesar salad (do wish there was shaved Parmesan). The star was the pizza. We got the prosciutto and arugula pizza and it was the best wood fired pizza I’ve ever had. Truly excellent. I am from Chicagoland and have had my fair share of wood fire pizza and this was top notch! I hope people come here and enjoy because we sure did!"

Restaurants in St. Augustine
Homemade pasta, fresh seafood, and brick-oven pizzas are just some of the delights attracting locals and tourists alike to this casual Italian gem a few blocks from the beach. Giant chalkboards detail the fresh fish creations of the day, but it's tough to resist the pasta dishes such as papardelle cinghiale (handmade papardelle with wild boar, plum tomatoes, and fresh herbs). Italian-born owner–chef Simone Parisi uses locally sourced ingredients, with emphasis on the abundant seafood harvested by area fishermen.
8 Off-the-beaten-track Restaurants in St. Augustine, Florida
Slightly inland in the diminutive Sea Grove neighbourhood, you’ll find Italian restaurant Terra & Acqua. They offer a large terrace with both sun and shade, which is great if you’re someone who (like me) freezes in American air conditioning. The fritto misto was a lightly battered and crispy range of vegetables, shrimps and calamari, while the gnocchi and ravioli dishes were full of flavour and richly sauced.
St Augustine's Best Pasta [Updated 2025]
Stepping into Terra & Acqua felt like entering a cozy Italian kitchen, where the air was infused with tantalizing aromas. I indulged in their handcrafted tagliatelle, which was a delightful dance of flavors—each bite perfectly al dente and enveloped in a rich, savory sauce. The balance of fresh herbs elevated the dish to a level of pure bliss.
