Monday night at The Corner Room has all you can eat pasta for $5.99 from 4pm to close which definitely fits more of the college budget. With the majority of employees wearing Penn State apparel, you and your date will feel right at home. If you and your special someone have completely different tastes in food, don’t worry, they have something for everyone from Philly Cheesesteaks to Quesadillas and amazing Loaded Tater Tots to start.

But either way, The Corner Room has always been a sweet, Penn State-filled place for students who want a decent meal but don’t want to pay a lot. This place serves diner quality food so good, you’ll be begging for more.

Picking a restaurant where every member of the family will be satisfied can be tricky. Luckily, Happy Valley is home to a wide variety of eateries where kids can enjoy a tasty meal, whether they’re adventurous eaters or refuse anything but chicken fingers. Some pint-sized diners may have a more refined palate but don’t necessarily need the whole adult portion, so kids’ meals fit the bill.

At the heart of downtown State College sits one of my most frequented restaurants — The Corner Room. With a cozy ambience offered through its wooden furnishings and friendly staff, this restaurant is a quality place to go on a date. The Corner Room, originally named Jack’s Road House, has been around since 1855 and is steeped in State College tradition.

A State College classic, The Corner Room is one of the most famous restaurants in downtown State College. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, they have a wide variety of sandwiches, salads, and entrees all offered at affordable prices. The Corner Room is also known for their weekly specials, so be sure to check their website for special deals.

The Corner Room – The Corner Room is actually located directly below the Allen Street Grill and is a Diner style, sit down restaurant with lots of available seating. They have excellent milk shakes and very fast service even when there are lots of guests. The Corner Room is a very family oriented choice; there will be something for everyone here.

Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, The Corner Room is a tradition for students and staff of Penn State as well as being popular with the residents. Described as the “American experience”, it’s literally stood in this location since Penn State was a high school in 1855. It was a “roadhouse” originally and became The Corner Room in 1926.

Housed in a historic building dating back to 1855, this restaurant exudes a charming atmosphere. The friendly service and delectable cuisine are its main attractions, with the Grilled Sticky and Vanilla Ice Cream being particularly noteworthy. The dishes are reasonably priced, and although the beer selection is limited, it is satisfying.

The Corner Room is an absolutely quintessential Penn State experience. While the food may leave something to be desired, the atmosphere certainly does not. From the charming wooden booths to the beautiful illustrations of our fantastic campus on the walls, The Corner Room really should be on your list of restaurants to try.

Opened in 1926, The Corner Room is situated on the west end of College Ave in Downtown State College. They’ve dubbed themselves the “the traditional meeting place since 1926,” since people back in the day used to say, “Meet me at the corner!. ” when they wanted to meet up at the restaurant.

Returning alums often like to revisit familiar favorites like The Deli, The Tavern and The Corner Room, which have all been around for decades, and for good reason. But there are several wonderful newer options worth a try, including Liberty Craft House, and Local Whiskey.

The Deli & Z-Bar is a great option when you’re sick of eating sub-par dining hall food or frozen dinners. Looking for amazing Italian cuisine in the middle of State College?. Try out their “Penne alla Vodka” or their “Italian Market Focaccia Sandwich” (pictured above).

I have eaten here several times and have always had a good experience!. The Corner Room is a casual restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Their menu is very simple, making it super easy to navigate allergies.

The Corner Room is a Penn State staple for visitors and students alike. If you haven’t eaten at The Corner Room, you haven’t been to State College. We recently visited on Thanksgiving and enjoyed a delicious holiday meal.
