Reviews Summary
Toast Asbury Park is a highly-rated spot for breakfast and brunch, praised for its unique pancake flavors and solid savory dishes. Diners love the friendly service and lively ambiance, though some mention it can get very busy and crowded, especially on weekends. While most experiences are positive, a few reviews note inflexibility with order modifications.
"Pancake flight was delicious! Lemon Blueberry, red velvet, and carrots cake. Southwest breakfast bowl large and filling and delicious. Lattes good but could be better. Nor enough flavor in the French toast latte. Excellent waitress."

"5-Star Review for Toast – Asbury Park
From the moment we walked in, the experience at Toast in Asbury Park was amazing. We were warmly greeted by Michael , and our server Hannah took the time to go over the specials — which many places don’t even bother to do. She was super sweet and made us feel welcomed right away.
We ordered the Banana Plaster with bacon — the bacon was cooked perfectly (not burnt!), which we really appreciated. We also had the BLT with extra bacon, and the lemon poppy with blueberry — everything was presented beautifully and tasted just as good as it looked.
The egg white omelet with bacon, ham, tomatoes, and onions was absolutely delicious — fresh, flavorful, and cooked just right.
Everything was very, very, very good. Toast definitely earned their five stars. Go check them out — you won’t be disappointed!"

"This place is not only an amazing breakfast haunt, but you can come here for a great brunch or lunch as well! You can never go wrong with the pancake plate which always comes with carrot cake, red velvet, And lemon poppy.
All the hashes are great, including the corn beef and the crab, but my personal favorite is the Santa Fe bowl add chorizo, and it literally becomes the perfect meal! If you’re in the mood for lunch, they have a great Thai wrap!"

Best Restaurants in Asbury Park, New Jersey: Good Places to Eat Now
This upscale diner is the second location of the Montclair favorite and it caters to the hangry, slightly hungover crowd that often abound in Asbury Park on weekend mornings. The specialty here is pancakes, available in Buttermilk, Red Velvet, Carrot Cake, and more (though the Challah French Toast is a wise choice if you have a sweet tooth). The rest of the menu skews towards typical Americana fare—build-your-own burgers, a slew of signature sandwiches, and plenty of egg dishes of omelettes, scrambles, and or the Irish Eggs Benedict with corned beef hash.

Another downtown breakfast, brunch, and lunch option is Toast, whose mantra is “Peace, Love, and Pancakes.” The slogan is fitting as the menu consists of plenty of pancake flavors like red velvet and carrot cake, or classic toppings of chocolate chips, strawberries, or blueberries. This chain restaurant is known for its diverse food; diners can build their burger, select a benny or handheld sandwich, or choose a classic egg plate. The beverage list is just as long, featuring a mixture of lattes (IYKYK: these beverages are more than just Instagramable).

The popular breakfast spot Toast is something of a New Jersey institution with locations in foodie hubs Montclair, Red Bank and Asbury Park, preaching its locally famous “peace, love and pancakes” mantra. The hot cakes here are particularly good — I’ve been raving about the red velvet variety for years now — but people also file in for the yummy egg “scramble” plates and selection of sandwiches and wraps for lunch. The place usually packs full with tourists during summer months — hooray, local summer!

A Roadmap to The Best Breakfast at the Jersey Shore
Downtown Asbury Park has gone to the hipsters and really we couldn’t be happier because Toast is one of our favorite places to grab a delicious Jersey Shore breakfast and brunch. Try out the Huevos Rancheros or go sweet with the Red Velvet Pancakes. Toast even gives some love those who are gluten challenged with thick and fluffy gluten-free waffles.

This is the spot you should be hitting up for breakfast because their pancakes are fluffy and delicious. Their sandwiches and wraps for lunch aren't too bad either but I would so eat their red velvet pancakes for lunch.
