I go to Freshies every time I’m in Steamboat, just for the Power Bowls!. Acai Bowl with blended Acai berries, almond milk, and homemade granola or a Green Machine with spinach, avocado, matcha, mango, chia, and homemade granola. There are additional healthy breakfast bowls on the menu at Freshies.

A couple of my other favorites in Steamboat are Freshies for huevos rancheros, The Paramount for chilaquiles, Yampa Sandwich Company for a grab-n-go sandwich to enjoy during a hiking adventure, Drunken Onion for a quick latte, Tuffle Pig for apres, and Mazzola’s for Italian comfort food.

The pancakes are rather popular, and multiple dishes are available to diners on meat- and/or gluten-free diets. Two separate menus are offered for breakfast and lunch, both featuring extensive lists of hearty international specialties.

Freshies is a great lunch spot in downtown, which is about a 10 minutes drive from the ski resort. Our neighbor friends in Texas told us about Freshies, and I’m so glad they did!
