Reviews Summary

The Paramount is celebrated for its hearty, made-to-order food, especially breakfast sandwiches and hand-cut fries, served in an inviting atmosphere with stunning views. While many praise the friendly staff and generous portions, some diners find the prices high for what they perceive as average taste or note occasional slow service and disappointing aspects like watered-down coffee or poorly executed dishes.

"This place is stellar. The food is made to order and huge. It’s all counter service. There are so many food choices. It was hard to choose. The Reuben was messy to eat, but very delicious. The fries were sooo amazing. You can’t beat the views."

Paulina Tran

"Amazing spot for food, coffee and other drinks at the base of the mountain! Their breakfast sandwich should have all other breakfast sandwiches steeping with envy-it’s SO GOOD! Double up with bacon and sausage if you want, both are so good here. Indoor and outdoor seating. Super friendly and helpful staff! We got breakfast here every morning before heading out to ski. Also a great spot for apres ski once you’re ready for that!"

Maria Bergenhem

"The prices are high because of the location. Drink pricing is odd, the latter, coffee and milk are all $5 each? The dish portions are big but the taste is just average."

58 hours in Steamboat Springs

Past all the shops and restaurants is a brand-new gondola that, despite there being little snow on the mountain, is open for visitors to climb to the tallest peak and enjoy the view. Just like the ride into town from Devner, the journey up the mountain in the comfort of a gondola is worth the investment. Slowly we creep up the rigid mountainside, approaching what I presume is the summit, only to find out it is merely the halfway point.

The Best Spots for Eating & Drinking in Steamboat

The Paramount is a great breakfast option and hangout spot for the weary during ski season. The S**t on a Shingle is a breakfast bite unique to them in town, but for our money, there's nothing better than a big bowl of chilaquiles with a fried egg on top. Throw in some mimosas with fresh juice, and we're thinking that the hill will be there tomorrow if we decide to have a few more drinks.
