Reviews Summary

Ulele consistently receives high praise for its unique native Floridian cuisine, exceptional customer service, and beautiful ambiance. Diners rave about signature dishes like charbroiled oysters and seafood risotto, as well as the stunning river views. While most experiences are overwhelmingly positive, a few reviewers noted that steak preparation could be inconsistent and some found prices to be on the higher side.

"well, we just moved here from the Midwest and my son flew in from San Francisco to help us with our move. He told us he found a great place in Tampa to have dinner. Well it met more than our expectations. Sophia our waitress was phenomenal. Just a doll very pleasant and talkative. She just moved here herself. we started off with appetizers. We had the charbroiled oysters with a creamy sauce and some baguettes and we also have the fried calamari and alligator tail, which was fantastic. I had just had some at another restaurant and this was just much much better I had the Gouda grouper over a bed of rice and green beans. It was phenomenal. My wife had a lobster roll and it was like a salad. You can just dig in and endless, and my son had their famous burger. I highly recommend this place and if it wasn’t for Sophie, our day wouldn’t have gone as well as it did, thank you Sophie"

"Pros-
Our waiter was the best waitstaff ever! Very tentative, helpful with suggestions and just great.

The Pompano and seafood risotto were excellent.

Negatives-

They don’t cook steak very well. My son ordered a ribeye med-rare and came out very rare. They seared one side and the other side was barely cooked and put this side down thinking nobody would notice."

"My wife and I decide to celebrate our 2 year anniversary of being married at Ulele today. We are so glad we came to celebrate here! The food was so amazing!!!!!!!!!! I order the pork shank 1lbs and my wife order the steak!!!! Everything from the vibes to the drinks to the food was nothing less than amazing. Our waitress “ Isabella “ set the tone with her amazing customer service the entire time. Her personality as well as her customer service needs to be recognized! Love this place!! We will definitely be returning!!!"

One of the most recognizable restaurants along The Tampa Riverwalk is this hyperlocal and seasonally focused venture from the Columbia Restaurant Group ( Columbia Restaurant). Built in a renovated 100-year-old water plant, the space itself is the overarching draw thanks to high-beamed ceilings, a towering horse sculpture smack dab in the middle of the dining room, a breezy outdoor patio and bar complete with cornhole and lounge areas, and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the river. On the dining side of things, seafood is the main theme with Oysters by the Baker’s Dozen, Seared Fresh Sea Scallops, and Blackened Mahi-Mahi “Mr.

Ulele is located on the Tampa Riverwalk, with a lawn and an airy two-story dining room where you should watch your dinner get charbroiled on the 10-foot barbacoa grill. The restaurant does some Native American dishes like three sisters salad that combines beans, squash, and corn, and they really excel at anything seafood—order some grilled Gulf oysters and rich risotto with butter-poached lobster, shrimp, scallops, and crawfish. There’s also an on-site brewery, so you can taste a couple different kinds of fruit beer while you daydream about ditching your stove for a gigantic live fire contraption.
