Reviews Summary

The Rusty Pig offers a casual dining experience with hearty American comfort food and craft beers. Diners frequently praise the flavorful BBQ, generous portions, and friendly service, with the mac and cheese and brisket being standout items. However, some guests have noted issues with inconsistent food quality, specific dish preparation, and occasionally unaccommodating staff or seating policies.

"Our 1st visit (06/03/2025) but definitely not our last.

The beer cheese nachos were 💣 and the brisket cheese steak was freaking delicious 😋

We will have to return to try other menu items as they clearly know how to cook!

I didn't care for their iced tea... tasted bitter to me... but I'm a bit of an iced tea snob. 🙃"

"I want to start off by saying the service was great here. Our waitress was very nice and on top of things. The drinks and the food were also very good. Definitely recommend the street corn nachos!

I only dock a star because apparently the “chef” refuses to do any mods to the burgers. Someone in our party simply wanted to swap her Swiss cheese for pepper jack when ordering. The waitress, who was clearly very embarrassed, said the chef refuses to do any modifications no matter what.

Again, service and food was wonderful. But they should consider a new chef who isn’t so arrogant."

"First time visiting this town. Nice quiet evening. Enjoyed dinner outside with minimal traffic. OK… the food… it was okay. Didn’t like the fried green tomatoes. A lot crunchy and just bland. Brisket was okay. The top portion with sauce was really good. But the meat beneath the top didn’t have the same taste or marbling. Loved the BBQ beans!

The fried chicken sandwich and fries were good. Slightly dry chicken but overall pleasing.

Overall, absolutely loved the vibe and would visit again to explore different items on the menu."

Ain’t nothing rusty about The Rusty Pig in Geneva (Dining Out Review)

The Bam Bam Chicken Grinder ($18) takes grilled chicken, bacon, pepper Jack cheese, garlic Boursin cheese and layers them on a sub roll with a housemade Bam Bam Jam. Savory and salty in each bite, this sandwich was elevated by the Bam Bam Jam, a sweet mixture of bacon and jalapeno peppers that brought it all together. We added a squirt of the housemade honey-poblano barbecue sauce for good measure, which added additional smoke to each bite.
