What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Pocahontas Pancake House is a highly popular breakfast spot known for its generous portion sizes and classic diner ambiance. While many praise the fluffy pancakes, omelets, and quick service, some reviewers find the food quality inconsistent, noting that pancakes can sometimes lack fluffiness and certain meats might not be fresh. The unique Native American-themed decor, complete with a teepee, adds to its charm, but the bustling atmosphere can be overwhelming during peak hours.
"Great place for breakfast!!! Everybody's food was good. It was super busy, but food was flying out of the kitchen, including ours. Went up front to pay, went back to put the tip on the table and it was already cleaned and reset. Great staff, they were fast, friendly, and motivated!!!"

"Pocahontas Pancake House has a fantastic location—right in front of our hotel and just a street away from the beach. There’s almost always a line out the door and down the street, but we happened to arrive at the perfect time and were seated right away. Even so, it was insanely crowded inside. If you get up to use the bathroom, you feel like you’re going to bump into several people or tables on the way.
The food was just okay. The pancakes were not very fluffy and tasted like they might not have been super fresh. My bacon and sausage were definitely not fresh, and the sausage was cold. On the bright side, my husband’s omelette was actually very good—so I’d recommend the omelettes over the pancakes here.
Our waitress was very nice, and the Native American–themed decor felt fitting, considering Pocahontas would have lived in this area. Overall, a decent spot for the location, but the food didn’t live up to the hype."

"Came here on a Friday morning around 9am there was already a line out side and over a 30 minute wait. Went in they gave us a pager. It has a one block radius on it so went to sit near the beach. Came back got seated place was packed not an empty seat in the house. Menu is huge. Ended up getting the breakfast sampler you get a lot of food for a great price. Pancakes was the best thing on the plate. The eggs could use a bit more flavor. Waitress was great even with the place being so busy. Would recommend going but get there early or you will be waiting. As we were eating there was a line outside. Definitely check this place out if you’re in the area."
