While the biggest fans could easily spend an entire afternoon at the Silos, not to mention other Fixer Upper–affiliated businesses like the Little Shop on Bosque and Harp Design Co. Those who tap out on Magnolia after an hour or two can hop on the free Downtown Trolley and hop off near Franklin and Austin Avenues, where you can browse a plethora of boutique shops. Waco is 1.5 hour drive (definitely get a rental car) from Austin where I would only recommend going if you’re down to explore where Fixer Upper began. Otherwise, you can shop the Hearth & Hand Magnolia product line at Target or on the Magnolia website. It’s expanding seeing how the Joanna and Chip Gaines built an empire from their show Fixer Upper to a household brand to inspire you to see the beauty in reinventing what home feels like to you.

You then will find on your left hand side the market shop, where all of Joanna’s current collection of home decorations, books, “Chip’s Corner”, T-shirts, jewelry and so much more. The lawn was the perfect little area to sit, grab a nice cold or hot beverage and just chill. I took everything in, it’s amazing how they turned this old Silos in the middle of Waco into a beautiful location where locals and visitors like us to get inspired.

I was pretty surprised to see a ballpark here as part of the grounds. It's behind the chapel near the food truck area, so make sure you walk back there!. The line to enter Silos Baking Co. bakery is always CRAZY long so you’re best bet is to get there when it opens at 7:30 a.m. (before the shop opens at 9 a.m.). Inside the bakery, you’ll be able to buy fan favorites like: “The Silos Cookie”, “The Prize Pig” bacon and cheddar biscuit, and the “Nuts & Bolts” cupcake.

If you are in the mood to shop, eat, and relax, you can find it all downtown at Magnolia Market at the Silos. The cupcakes at Silos Baking Co. are indeed fantastic, but should you need a bit of liquid refreshment with a kick as you navigate the crowds, you’re out of luck. But now, at least, you don’t have to roam too far from the silos for a hoppy, drinkable souvenir.

It's a lovely little bakery, with very friendly service, but the cookies did not live up to the hype. My friend and I ordered the Oatmeal Chocolate Chip, Gluten Free Salted Caramel Chocolate Chip, and Vanilla Bean Shortbread cookies. They were all horrible.

I’m sure you have heard of Magnolia Market from the HGTV show “Fixer Upper”. The bakery that they have added to the Silos is such a great addition to Waco. The “Shiplap” cupcake is out of this world!!

My friends tried the strawberry, silo-bration flavor, and red velvet. No one had any complaints!. You can’t go wrong with any flavor, the hard part is deciding which cupcakes to purchase.
