This food hall is one of the newcomers on the food scene in Waco and it's definitely one of our favorite things in town. At the time of this blog the food hall is only partially open but when it's filled up it's going to be SO COOL!. When finished the food hall will have 27 different local food vendors making it a great spot for groups with pick eaters-- everyone can get what they want all under one roof.

While Camarena opened her location in Union Hall during the peak of COVID-19 in April 2020, she stayed open for a little less than two years and began looking for a new space at the end of her contract. What was expected to take three months became a two-year journey of permitting, construction, and design—forcing Camarena to take charge and learn many tasks herself.

Union Hall: With their grand opening at the start of 2020, Union Hall faced some original setbacks with regaining occupancy to 100%. Now fully opened, this unique food experience offers numerous eateries all within its food hall. With 24 different food stalls and 3 standalone restaurants, Union Hall provides food options for every type of eater.

With over 20 local eateries set up food hall style, there’s a vendor sure to make everyone happy… Curry, waffles, salads, tea, beer, & even desserts. I would have loved to have done a food crawl and checked out a few different stalls, but I was short on time. I ended up getting the Brisket Bao Buns from Koko Ramen, and there were no regrets.

Union Hall does have a couple of offerings, in Koko Ramen (w/ Guess Brisket added, super tasty), Blasian Asian (meh) and Curry Up and Wok This Way, except everytime I've tried to eat there they were out of like, half their menu. If you are a Thai place and you are out of Pad Thai by 5:05pm, you are doing something wrong.

We tried one of their smoked whiskey’s at Union Hall and decided to go in for a tasting. It is walking distance from both the Silos and Union Hall. It’s definitely worth it, they also have beer and you can book a tour if you like!

Union Hall is a large food hall in downtown Waco full of vendors serving various cuisines. You can choose from Asian options like Cambodian or Thai. Mexican and Tex Mex from Huaco Eatery and Wacool Tacos & Tamales.

This is an especially great restaurant if you have multiple people with different taste buds. Except for a coffee shop that no longer exists in the building, everything I’ve had from there has been top-notch.

Owner and founder Todd Behringer said Union Hall’s success proves food trucks can move indoors to a smaller space, not have the extreme overhead, and have success without having to depend on the weather.
